I detail my car. Do you know why my microfiber towel gives out allot of lint every time I dry my car?
ОтветитьGreat info. For your spray sealant such as Reload. Would you be tossing out the towel afterwards?
ОтветитьWow!!! What a Great and informative Video. You really packed a lot of great content into this video. Thanks 🙏🏻
ОтветитьNice video! I switched to the the Rag Co. Rip N’ Rag XL Pearl weave for leveling coatings and they’ve been great. Soft and safe and less then a dollar a towel.
ОтветитьColeton, your video was a game-changer! A huge shout-out for enlightening DIY enthusiasts like myself with your expertise. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of maintaining a pristine vehicle myself. *Thank you* for being an inspiration!" 🚗✨
ОтветитьAwesome. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video mate. One thing i do differently is with my coating levelling and final buff towels, i throw them straight into a bucket of rinseless wash so there is no opportunity for coating residue to set. Then wash in warm water as usual. Ive never had an issue with this when reusing
ОтветитьNot sure why my interior/glass towels have these very fine lint that sticks to my glass. I’m not sure where it’s coming from.
ОтветитьLove these videos! Great work!
ОтветитьOnly recommendation would be to try the Microfiber Madness Yellow Fellow. I don’t think there’s a Rag Company equivalent. Great towel for removing compound, polish or sealants.
ОтветитьGreat video! This is a really detailed video of why and what you use each towel for. I have yet to come across a video like this. Great job!
ОтветитьBest video I have seen that provide specific suggestions.
Thank you!
Initial wash never works for me. Always leave lint-balls and shedding behind
ОтветитьMy friend, try Dry Me a River Microfibers from TRC and Bilt Hamber Trace-less
ОтветитьDo you know of any natural towels for grimy interior surfaces? I ask because I personally think it’s environmentally irresponsible throwing away so many microfibers. In terms of cleaning your towels I’d like to suggest putting a filter on your washing machine so the microfiber particles that wash off are collected and not left in the gray water. Perhaps there is also a way of collecting the used chemicals from the gray water as well. But thank you for putting out this informative content.
ОтветитьVery good video. You have just found a new subscriber. 🇨🇦👍👍
ОтветитьHave u tried black line twisted loop towel
Ответитьlove this vids thanks!
ОтветитьKLiN korea dying duo. You'll never look back
Ответить50 / 60 towels for 1 detail? Is that normal for a detail?
ОтветитьAppreciate your time and efforts. I've been rather unhappy with a few of the "prosumer" brand towels and I'm gonna give the Eagles a try. Cheers!
ОтветитьIn Canada I'm often removing a polish or cleaner wax at lower temps with more humidity and it takes more force to remove the product. I need something that "grabs" and the edgeless 500 looks like it might be too soft and slide across the surface.
Ответитьi know you specialize in car detailing but since you know microfiber towels so well, which would you recommend for cleaning holographic / chrome trading cards? the most important thing is a cloth that will not scratch the surface
ОтветитьVery informative video. Hey Coleton, what drying towel do you recommend for wheels and door jambs? Also, can I use that same type of towel to apply something like DIY Detail's Ceramic Gloss or Waterless Wash?
ОтветитьWhat about washing water marks from ur neighbors sprinkler
ОтветитьHello, thank you for your explanation on the different gsm and purposes of microfiber towels. I am new, and I’ve decided that I’m going to ditch the washing mitt with two buckets method. Instead, I am planning to use 4 microfiber towels to wash with one bucket.
The logic behind is two buckets w/ grit guard will still have contaminants back to the car. Whereas new towels each sections will have zero cross contaminants. In your opinion, which gsm towels should I use? Are 350gsm towels enough with the lubricants from car shampoo? Or just go with 500gsm just to be safe?
Have you tried the BILT Hamber new Traceless Glass Cleaner
ОтветитьGreat video! Love that you give your favorite recommendations.
ОтветитьWhat an excellent video! Getting back into cleaning my car, just got a GT500 and this will help. I have tons of towels over the years (I am a sucker for sales) and I forgot which one can be used for what. Thanks!
ОтветитьFor those on a tight budget like myself, harbor freights green and purple edgless 12 for 10$ towels are paint safe, whether using the plush side for sealants or the low nap side for really scraping off polish residue. For me, these were great for making sure i take care of towels properly, and figure out exactly what purposes my detailing process uses. Now, im just getting DIYdetail striped imterior towels to replace both interior microfiber and scrub ninjas, either the Gauntlet drying towel or the Harbor freight drying towel, and now im actually going to stick woth the green and purple harbor freight towels at least for now. Ive figure out that i only want the 4 useable sides per job, as using all 8 gets the rag too saturated, and I only need plush and shortnit towels for ceramic sealants, polish removal, and panel prep. Ill buy their regular style cheaper ones to use as towels i can trash, such as when you scrape the ground when removing excess tire shine, or using diydetail trim restore which requires cutting a small square out of a rag, amd using the rest of it to level the coating, before trashing bith peices.
In short im happy with my cheap yet effective and efficient towel solutions.Harbor Freight Drying Towel 10$
(2-3 to be able to wash cars continuously all day)Harbor Freight Edgeless Towels 12 for 10$ (I keep 2 packs ready to use) DIY Detail Striped Interior Scrub towels 5$ per towel (I think 4 is plenty for a vehicle or two, otherwise 8-12 to use for a whole day) Harbor Freight Edged Towels 12 for like 2.64 on black friday, regularly 6$. 1 pack is good to have around but i plan on having 2-4 packs so i dont have to wash them as often since they need washed separately from the others
Total- 60$
120$ for excess and peice of mind to clean cars all day
30$ just to do your own car like ive been doing with the 2 packs of edgeless towels and a drying towel
