Challenging The DigiTech Trio Plus- Your Band In A Box?

I had the old TRIO and it sounded like azz... until I found out about a hidden mode that limited the basslines to just a whole note. Then it became a very usable toy. I still would never use it onstage.

I have this thing and am sure that after a while you discover that dubbed loops go out of sync. How is that even possible?

Hey @SeanPierceJohnson @JayLeonardJ & @seandaniel23, I’m a Hip Hop & R&B beat producer. I’ve been getting into pedals with my music production. I was thinking to use the trio for capturing guitar loop tracks that I can then add to my song tracks through my DAW.

Can the Trio do that???

My worry about this clever device is how useful it would be on stage without someone twiddling the knobs for me. You alluded to this at the end of your video, but didn't go into how to do it. I am not great with technology, so a follow-on video on how to do this would help me greatly. Thanks.

I want to go out sit down and listen to a acoustic artist play guitar and sing. Nowadays you hear this crap with all the looping the cardboard drums the silvertone sounding bass. In all honesty the only reason so called musicians use these things is because they are not good enough to pull a show off without them.

Although Digitech makes great products, I don’t think this would work for me. I have Band in a Box on my MacBook Air. It has way more options than this. I got rid of my Digitech looper and opted for the Aeros Looper.

Questions : Why does it not have a click track to begin with? The reason I say that is, what if your timing wavers in the first learning phase, does it automatically quantize or something? So the other parts are locked to that original tempo timing? How many guitar parts upon guitar parts can you loop? ( not separate parts of the song ). How many 'songs' can you save and ultimately how much recording minutes does it have total? Can it really do 3/4? Your demonstration suggested it was not really 3/4?

I've been using this pedal for quite a while and i love it! I play smooth jazz and jazz rock arrangements on this device using powered arrays and a mixing board. It sounds fantastic when engineered properly! I play 4 gigs a month and just like the guy said here, my sets are on chips! The auduence lives the tunes and i love the lack of headaches! My only suggestion is that Digitech should have designed this with three separated physical trs outputs. It would give more control over the summed out of the bass and drums in the mix.

I bought one a few years ago & it's Horsham 😅 I bought it to play with a top drummer from the 1970s & 80s. I must dig it out again. You do only have a very limited amount of slots from one memory card, but it is like having your own band. I must try it with keyboards. 😎👍

how does it know how long to create a loop for? in the acoustic demo, it dosent seem that there is a ending footswitch press?

I am completely unfamiliar with pre amps or this stuff. Is this can be good with ukulele as well or there is a different version. I have seen some really crazy looping with Ukes

It’s strange how this still seems to be the only device that does what it does. They have a heap of nearly useless drum machines but no other pedals that create auto bass. Wish there were others out there, but nada.

These type of things never really work for country music because the limited “country “ drum tracks pretty much are Johnny Cash style or bust!

I have one of these coming in tomorrow. I ordered it from Amazon. What will I use it for? I’m a solo instrumental guitarist. This is a perfect thing for a little extra back up. Put it on stage and go out and play some gigs. I’ve been playing guitar since 1974. I’m 71 years old. I’ve been playing for 51 years. I love love guitar best hobby I ever had most fun I ever had. At first it was hell but after 10 years you start catching on ha ha have a great night.❤️❤️😃👍😎 this damn thing is super cool😎😎😎 love it❤️

I've been using this peddle for 4 years and I can say it's provided a lot of my backing tracks for solo performing. I find it easier to create all of my song parts then transfer it to a DAW where I convert to mp3 backing tracks for the live performance. Not sure I can trust my feet to execute the different song parts live. I've also seen where my trio+ goes into some strange states at times requiring a reboot. LOL
