The charges faced by them are VERY serious. Once all parties have been heard I'm sure we'll have much more info on the methods allegedly used by City to defraud, deceive and mislead. If/when found guilty, the punishment should lead to:
1. Immediate relegation
2. Removal of all titles for the periods of the charges
3. Payments of sums deemed to have been lost by other parties.

There is no way the PL can afford to go soft on punishments as they will leave the door open for clubs to take direct action themselves. Hence their need to lodge a claim now.

Finally, if football fans in general do not see sufficient punishment, then the game itself will be under threat in this country. That's how serious these charges are.

My gut feeling is that even if they are only guilty of half of what is allegedly there, they should be treated like Rangers were demoted to the lowest tier at the very least - this would be as well as massive compensation to the other clubs in the PL.
