I’m surprised the quake didn’t jam all the doors shut in their frames.

It's like a scene from LA in 2012 movie, but it's about the survival of another group of people.

The hero never dies.

Everyone is always amazed at the Hollywood sign being destroyed. Those letters are barely standing compared to an outhouse.

I hate the movie trope of being like “omg are you ok?” Or “oh thank goodness you’re alright” when you are very clearly still in immediate danger. Like how about save the meet and greet for after you land the helicopter???

The backstory was cliche... The plot mostly predictable... But it was a decent movie. I enjoyed it and would watch it again.

Great scene but that fault line can’t produce an earthquake on that scale

As a Californian...its gonna end up being much much worst when the Big One finally hits...its gonna reshape the entire westcoast and much more.

Wow. This is beyond lame. I mean seriously ... The concrete and steel bursts into flames for no reason ... The building immediately collapses as she is pulled into the helicopter .. The surrounding buildings all spontaneously collapse and fall towards the helicopter ... The only thing missing was for a swarm of meteorites to suddenly fall from the sky and hit the helicopter.

If the San Andreas fault unzipped all the way, there still wouldn’t be a tsunami. The fault is on land, not in the water. California would have to slip into the ocean to create a tsunami. Facts.

This video is a perfect example to illustrate the need to keep a good suit of plot armor handy at all times.

For the largest earthquake ever they’re doing a fantastic job staying on their feet as the tower is rocked back and forth at apocalyptic strength

I have lived in and around Los Angeles, California for 62 of my 63 tears. And we have NEVER had an earthquake like that. In fact, not even CLOSE. San Andreas is a splendidly entertaining piece of filmmaking. But please--PLEASE!!!--do not take it too seriously.
