So many of the houses are the same ... I saw the title for this one & thought ... its gotta have some character ... sadly know, I was horrified to see they took the original arched hall detail with the same look they do in everything .. I'd never hire a company that can't do different looks ...

The home is lovely, but I wish she would have gone into the heritage of the house bc I love heritage homes!

I just want to know how much was this home/renovation?! Multi millions?! Just curious. This is like the new lifestyles of the rich. That was my show growing up. This is so calm, layered, interesting and yet neutral I love it.

the draper you chose in the formal dining room is so beautiful. What is the fabric color? does it have a black out backing and still look that airy.

I wish they didn’t choose that grey quartz because it looks cheap from a distance and because there’s no veins or depth it makes the kitchen look very bland and flat.

One person’s boring is another person’s favorite. Thank goodness we don’t all have the same taste. Otherwise, every home would look exactly the same! Shea can do no wrong. Another lovely job!

What a beautiful home. The thing about neutral tones is that they’re easy to live with and they’re classic and don’t date. Colors can be added in the form of scatter cushions , artwork , lamps and throws…all easy to change without spending vast amounts of money. This is a classic home which will grow with the family . You did well Shea! Having grown up in the house the owners must have a lot of love for the place and you made it so incredibly beautiful for them. Totally love all you did here and with a lot of existing features and furniture it must have been a hell of a challenge. I love everything about it besides the navy blue sofa (then again I imagine three little boys on it).My favourite must be the round window, trim work, the archway and the hidden downstairs loo. My favourite project yet (perhaps only because it speaks to my heart)! Thanks a lot for sharing all your awesome tips as well. A valuable lesson in design.

OMG... that was like a MASTERCLASS in designing with a neutral palette!!! This is a 10/10 for me!!! Pure perfection on every level. This homeowner will never want to leave this home and at the very least she has double the value of her home. From the architectural details to the functionality and magnificent interior design, this is really just breathtaking. I'm drooling & dying over this!!! Wow!!

This is a Cape Cod house not a French Country home. The checkered tiles and beams on the ceilings are completely out of place and make the ceilings seem closed and the floor space small. I wish McGee and co would stop their step and repeat designs and do the proper research of a home. This would result in a great refresh that would have added timeless value. This will date very quickly.

Please help me with my new house. I have 90’s style orangey hardwood floors. I can’t afford to restrain them right now.

What can I do with the wall colors and room decor so that it is contemporary?
