This is just a weird concept in the first place to me, there is no difference between a perfect clone and the original, I wouldn't care if I was the clone, the more of me, the better. If my clone was better than me, I would be the supporting character

I absolutely LOVE Spider-Carnage. Not only is it a combination of my two favorite marvel characters (Spider-Man and Carnage, duh), I like the dynamic of Ben having to fight off the symbiote’s urge to kill and maim. I wish Spider-Carnage could appear more in the comics, but I also understand why he can’t, since it’s such a specific scenario that can only be done so many times.

Damn this makes me want to read the 90s spiderman ben reilly run.

I remember watching a video a long time ago about how much the Clone Saga sucked and it made me read the OG 90s story out of pure curiosity. I fell in love with Ben and was so shattered to see how dirty they did him by the end. I would love a Spectacular Spiderman with Ben and Amazing Spiderman with Pete at the time. I hope there's Ben justice at some point. What a waste of an incredible character.

Well I mean, delusion is my go-to method of enjoying Star Wars. Just pretend it ended in 2013 and everything is hunky-dory.

It's astounding that the writers managed to bring Ben back in such a way that Kaine ended up being the better Scarlet Spider between the two.

With Peter B. Parker being a thing, I genuinely hope Ben Rilley also has his happy ending in whatever universe he is in, preferably with him and Pete finally being good friends and brothers.

vintage ben reilly/scarlet spider is still my favorite spiderman, both for character and for costume design. he was one of the only good things to come out of the clone saga, and marvel off'd him. they finally brought scarlet spider back, first as a different character(Kain), then as ben reilly again, but redesigned his costume, and i wasn't a fan of the new design.

Today was the 1 year anniversary of when "The Spider-Man Who Deserved Better" was uploaded! Ben Reilly really does deserve better. Since the Spider-Verse movies increased the visibility of other Spider-People, which includes Ben Reilly, Ben should get another chance to shine in the comics. There are plenty of people who would support that! 🤓

You know it just dawned on me that really, the entire plot of the Clone Saga could only be written by a straight man. Literally anyone else would go "there is no Earthly way that MJ would have a problem with two Peter Parkers". I need a What If for the Clone Saga where MJ is like "guys, why is this a point of drama for either of you? I have two husbands. SCORE!" and they live happily ever after.

Eventually someone will realize why people are transition from comics to manga and they will stop doing this kind sh*t. Until then I will stay away from marvel comics as I have vow to do ever since One More Day.

The real ending for Ben Reilly happened in the clone saga that Tom Defalco and Howard Mackie wrote in 2009-2010, that 6 issue history is what should have happened in the 90s, instead of all that mess...

I own the 6 part 'Real Clone Saga' Short and sweet: Peter stays Peter and Spider-Man. Ben stays Scarlet Spider. Peter has May and MJ and Mayday. Ben rolls out of town on a motorcycle. If writers had realized the potential to have their cake and eat it: new stories involving Peter being a married superhero raising a daughter and then have the Single Ben doing the kind of 'bachelor' stories that were supposed to be the reason they did that awful 'One More Day' arc.
