Another awesome video. I would like to see a full video on the snowy owl. I am very interested and they have reported to have been seen in my area several times over the last 20 years except I haven't been the want to see them. Oh well, maybe someday.
Thanks for the great videos and pictures of birds. I really love them. 👏
We have a pair in our backyard . They hatched 3 babies last year . We are hearing them hoot now like they do around mating time . We love them and got to watch the babies grow to flight .they hatched in a pine tree . We've also had a barn owl and a short-lived visit by a snowy owl . We live in southwest Montana.
ОтветитьShort-eared gets my vote, having managed good winter roosting grounds for many years. Thanks, Lesley
ОтветитьI have read the Great Horned Owls have no sense of smell. Their sensory input is focused on sight and especially sound. The article I read said skunks are a favorite prey, and, if you smell a skunk while walking in the woods, you are as likely smelling an owl that has recently preyed on a skunk than the skunk itself.
ОтветитьI enjoy all you videos. Thank you for producing and sharing.
The snowy owl is my favorite...
Hi.
More snowy owl videos please.
I luv owls in general...
Thank you.
New subscriber..
Great job.
Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous! My last name is Hooten, so you can imagine how much I hear about owls 😂. I love them dearly, they're amazing creatures and soooooo quiet!
ОтветитьI’d love to see more on the snowy owl! Fascinating video! ❤ Thank you, Leslie!
Ответить- Snowy && Short eared please 🙏🏽 ❤ 📹 🎥
ОтветитьMy favorite is the Great Grey owls. 😊
ОтветитьGreat grey
ОтветитьI once saw a snowy owl in WI in winter, when I was a teenager. I am still thrilled,at the age of 74!
ОтветитьThe great horned owl I may be too late for this but one showed up on our street corner. And since we have a lot of kitties we are a shelter and there's a lot of ferals. But there's plenty of things for him to eat. I think it showed up as a totem for my husband. So I went out and told it to leave the cat alone there was plenty out here for him and his Brew somewhere in a tree.
So yes I would like some more lengthy information about these guys I've had to do a lot of research. They may be ethral majestic creatures.. but excuse the expression from what I read they can be real assholes. Like taking over the other Big Bird's nest and kicking out their eggs. One of the many things I read I just want to know if you know if all of that is true! If so I'm right. Thank you!
Snowy owl
ОтветитьMy dear Father silent Wide eyed and devoted to Nature His whole Life Thanks Dad for never saying much to me but showing Me the Way you knew BEST 😅 ❤ His Ways....my dad was small but Mighty....Gone Now and may never see him AGAIN....sad to Say.
ОтветитьThe great grey is one I will definitely go looking for one day. It is found both in my home country (in Europe) and a few hours from where I live now, in the mountains of California.
ОтветитьI just seen a great horned. She missed the pray. Probably because of the truck, she is ok. I didn't hit her.
Ответитьall owls are great, but the snowy owl hands down! I used to live on the edge of a forest and could hear owls hoot!
ОтветитьGreat Grey owl, they’re my favorite.
ОтветитьI have a great horned owl within 100 yds of my house and
usually every night about 2:00 am he or she is sacking off.
I was disappointed that you left out the different types of hoots that different owls make. We have one in our neighborhood that makes one single hoot. I've never seen it so I don't know what kind it is and Google is not helpful. So I don't know what kind it is. I live in central Texas.
ОтветитьAwesome, awesome video! Well done and thank you so much for the comprehensive information within. I live in SE Michigan and my neighbor and I successfully rescued a Great Horned Owl last night that was completely entangled in a soccer net on the local school grounds. Took some time but we got it cut out, watched it to ensure there was no visible wing damage, left it alone in the dark for half hour and then verified that it did fly away. What a great feeling!
ОтветитьThe Snowy Owl
ОтветитьGreat post.
I'd like to see a stand alone video of the Great Grey owl.
I'll check your channel to see if you've already made a video of the Great Grey.
Northern hawk owl!!!
ОтветитьWhen I was seven I saw Horned owls all the time in Wichita Falls Texas. Usually on a telephone poles with bright yellow glowing eyes.
ОтветитьLove ,Love it being a night owl myself , a few years back on a early spring Nebraska morning along side
the Mighty Mo River I walked up on a huge Great Horned Owl (probably female due to large size) eating a bird she never missed a mouthful , speaking softly I just eased back & away snapping photos, few days later I went back gathered up the remains taking them to a Conservationists ( Game Warden) finding out that her breakfast was a Red Tailed Hawk
NOTE to left of this comment is one the photos of her as my thumbnail
Great horned owls please!!
ОтветитьCouldn't help thinking of Rush's "Fly by Night" album cover. A big snowy owl with wings spread.
ОтветитьI saw a snowy owl way back in the 1970's in Long Beach California . Easy to remember because it's the only one I've ever seen. It was on small fence on the side a small drainage canal that was next to a field that had a lot of gophers and it was in the city.
ОтветитьBurrowing owl 🤗
Ответитьthe snowy owl is definitely a favorite of mine so more videos and information would be appreciated!! thanks so much!

ОтветитьWhile pheasant hunting today we saw 5 short eared owls. Created a very quizzical look on my dogs face as she flushed them.
ОтветитьI would like a video on the snowy owl. I saw 2 of them perched on the powerlines in Atlantic Beach, NC the winter of 2013/2014. They are so beautiful.
ОтветитьI would love a full video about the snowy owel
ОтветитьI absolutely love your videos.
ОтветитьExcellent presentation. Thankyou
ОтветитьI found a long earred owl in my horse pasture last winter.
I dropped a towel over him and brought him in the house as rain was setting in. I called a local rehabber, and she brought him to Tufts University. Unfortunately he had to be euthanized because the damage was to his wing was too severe. 😢
Snowy owl please. They are so beautiful in Winter.
ОтветитьSnowy Owl
ОтветитьThe burrowing owls would be great to see more of, well actually all of them are interesting, but you don't seem to hear as much about the burrowing kind. Thank you for making your bird videos. Cheers from Tasmania!
