I have a 2019 CB1000R. The handlebars don't really work for me. When you are sitting upright with your arms locked out, they are comfortable. This fine for cruising. Terrible for turning. However, this is supposed to be a retro-cafe bike. In the twisties you want to lean forward and tuck your arms in. This forces your thumbs out. Classic "clip-on" position. (Hold a pencil in your hand and watch the movement as you lean forward. from locked to bent.) Unfortunately, the handlebars don't allow for this. You have to keep your elbows out as you lean forward. Awkward. I really don't want to have to spend $20,000 to $25,000 on a Triumph 1200 RR or a KTM 1290 just to get the ergonomics right on a naked bike. Other than that, the CB1000R does everything I want. It's got plenty of brakes. I can't use more than about half the horsepower exiting the corners and I could care less about blasting down the straightaways. That just catches me up with slower traffic that much sooner. It's a yo-yo. I let traffic get ahead of me on the straightaways and I catch up in the curves, which is the fun part.

Knowing Honda anymore it will probably be visually disappointing like the CB 750 hornet

I prefer the current design better, Honda has the tendency to make something looking at market trends and f*in it up visually. I hope this news ain't true.

For this to get sales volume it will need to compete with the SFV4S and M1000R. The only question is do Honda have the balls? History would say not!

All these bikes are so compact that bigger riders cant get comfortable. And they are fugly. My opinion.
