Can't help it but to agree with angry Ron. Big E is the ultimate hypocrite and a tyrant clad in fools gold.
ОтветитьListening to this on Audible in Betrayer was phenomenal because Angron certainly isn't wrong here.
ОтветитьThe alternative to the Emperors "slavery" is total annihilation and extinction.
Ответить"When the villain low key starts making sense"
Ответить"Nice opinion unfurtunately great crusade"
ОтветитьAngron is a loveable character, the only traitor that I can't play devil's advocate for is Lorgar, and even that wasn't entirely his fault.
ОтветитьAngron the guts of 40k boy just needs to be put down
Ответить.,.
ОтветитьMan, the setting was robbed of an amazing character. Angron could have been one of the deepest most complex primarchs with the most potential, instead we get 2d angry guy with an axe.
ОтветитьRemind you of the modern left of the western world at all ? Cancel culture , taking our traditions pissing upon it while brainwashing the children in the schools? ... they have no idea how many metaphorical angrons theyve created , as we scream and yell until the one day it will register how silent our screams have truly become .
ОтветитьThere is no doubt Angron was a tortured soul driven to insane fits of rage but, the man could spit some TRUTH!
ОтветитьFor all Angrons talk about the Emperor being evil by making a galaxy of slaves the Emperor is also right in that only a united galaxy can deal with the threats posed against it. Chaos, the Necrons, the Orks or the Tyranids. For Mankind to survive mankind must serve.
Even ostensibly “Good” faction like the Tau follow this same logic. They just have themselves in charge rather than the Emperor.
It comes down to the choice to live on your knees or die on your feet, but the decisions is for your entire species forever.
Anything is better than extinction.
My girlfriend, who's very into poetry and knows nothing of 40k, heard this and described it as "notions of a master's righteousness cleaved in two by a butcher. "
ОтветитьI really like Angron now.
ОтветитьThe music is annoying as hell.
ОтветитьThe music is WAYYYY too loud mate.
ОтветитьAngron could have been one of the greatest primarchs.
ОтветитьIt’s amazing that the traitor primarchs always have a whole arsenal of reasons to turn, yet the loyal only have only a single round of a reason to stay.
Ответитьif Angron never had the butcher's nails implanted in his skull, he may have become a greater threat to the Imperium than Horus ever was.
ОтветитьBurn the corpse emperor
ОтветитьAngron is the most heartwrenching story in all of 40k. A Primarch who could never love his legion becouse if the nails took him he would kill his own sons as easily as the enemy. A legion he told to accept the nails becouse even he, a Primarch could not shoulder the burden of their desperation to do whatever it was to appease him. A Primarch who reguarly decimated his legion if they did not bring a world into compliance within a certain timeframe, and I believe fully that Angron only ordered it becouse of the nails need to witness violence and he could not bring himself to kill his legionnaries himself becouse of whatever broken state what honour he still had remained in.
The greatest service ever denied to Angron was that the Emperor did not give him the release of death and spare The Red Angels of the future that was to be.
Angron was never a betrayer, he was betrayed.
The Wolves, always doing what they're told. Wolves don't act that way, only a dog does. That's why they are the Eaters of Worlds, and war hounds no longer.
ОтветитьRipped a Custard in two the first chance he got. so if he could have gone without the nails... you bet he'd keep his word.
ОтветитьSaid “traitor” instead of “tyrant” at one point but still good
ОтветитьWell, it's hard to argue with what he's saying about the Imperium but nevertheless his actions are making it worse.
ОтветитьAngron isn't wrong.
ОтветитьWorld eaters won the night of the wolf change my mind
ОтветитьFirst time I've ever heard Angron not growling or sounding like he smokes 3 packs a day. Weird. I like shredded larynx Angron better. Fits in my imagination.
ОтветитьThis is the greatest dialogue/monologue in all of 40k. The entire human tragedy, the heart, soul, logic & truth of it is present in Angron's words here. A testament more concise than anyone else offered, and that is saying so much considering the nails. He was the real heart & soul of humanity that was lost during the great crusade/HH. Before the Emperor fully cast out that aspect of himself to defeat Horus, Angron had been made to embody it. In the end, if one had to go, maybe so did the other.
ОтветитьThe most human primarch. Also, the only one of them who knew from the start they were slaves.
And the really tragic part? The emperor's using his addiction to violence to control him. Denied him death as a free man so he could enslave him again. With the same tools the high riders did.
Angron was forced even now to become the very thing he despises.
ОтветитьComrade Angron.
ОтветитьYou know all the traitors reasoning is alot like kommunism. When you hear them speak it sounds rational und reasonable, but then you recoil from their actual manifestations in reality.
ОтветитьWA WA WA, little brother.
Sorry you were a slave.
Yawn*
It's why Angron was such a perfect match for Khorne. They're both furious, and wrathful, and violent, and HONEST.
ОтветитьThis VA went crazy. what a performance
ОтветитьAngron low key is the most self aware primarch
ОтветитьI mean Angron you are kinda the biggest perpetrator of this kind of conquest along with your brother morty.
Like before the Chaos kook aid your brother Horus was actually pretty diplomatic and did quite a lot in terms of peaceful compliance.
Also sorry but freedom is a luxury that you have to earn yourself. Freedom can only ever be taken, either by you or from you. You don’t have a right to it, only a right to try for it.
Its, a pretty simplistic way to look at things.
Men, cruel or compassionate have always fought for land, resources, wealth and lives.
But none of these things are an end in and of itself, but simply a means.
What do you do with that land, resource and life is what distinguishes a king from a tyrant.
Yes we fight to silence those who have a different opinion to ours.
But Murderors have a different opinion on the value of life.
Rapists have a different opinion on how to enjoy sex.
Nazis have a different opinion on the Jews.
Everyone has a unique opinion, not all opinion is right.
And morality is not relative.
Yes the Emperor wants to conquer every world.
But when you live in a galaxy with nechrons, eldars, orks, tyranids and literal deamons with chais gods.
Every world that doesn't serve the Imperium, is a world that will eventually be conquered by xenos and serve the enemies of mankind.
And for all of the Emperor's flaws, it is undeniable that he is devoted to defending mankind.
He may not defend a man, but he will spare no expense to secure a future for mankind
Angron was supposed to be something beautiful instead he endded up a monster 😢
ОтветитьAngron
berserking philosopher
peacekeeping avatar of war
You know, in his rebelling against the emperor may been his attempt to be better.....
ОтветитьThis entire speech sems incredibly naive to me.
What did he think conquest means?
"I am told to destroy whole civilizations, and call it liberation."
Good lord, that line hits so hard.
Fuck, my boi did not deserve what he got
Angron is so much more them the butcher's nails
Portions of Angron’s words, within the full context of all he has so far been shown to have done, ring hollow.
ОтветитьIt's a banger of a speech, but I'm not sure the Irish lilting brogue is the right voice for Angron of all people.
ОтветитьYou need to realize that for most of it, Angron was the Main protagonist among his brothers. My dude kept spitting facts everytime they interacted!
