glad youre back
ОтветитьSuch an underrated channel.
ОтветитьI bought the speed. The lid snapped off the first day I had it, but the bigger problem I have with it is that the thing uses two 9v batteries. I don't want to buy $20 worth of batteries to power a $80 hopper. This is a bit better but I still don't get why HK hasn't just moved to rechargable batteries or even AA/AAAs like everyone else has.
Ответитьrotors were made for the days when BPS was a huge selling point
ОтветитьFor the extra $10 I ordered the LTR. Love the build quality. The Sonic just felt like cheap plastic in my opinion.
ОтветитьDidn't tippmann ssl200 have a similar sensor and paddles?
ОтветитьGet a spire any version and you will be happy
ОтветитьI just bought the Sonic and it came in today lol
Ответить2 videos within a month!?
ОтветитьIf I actually have time to play this season I might look into this. Still have my OG Pinocchio but usually lend it to kids or rental players with gravity feeds. Never had a problem with it ever but it's too big. I'm not really a big fan of the rotor I got to replace it as it tends to jam. I don't even see a difference in speed cause I'm usually playing woodsball
ОтветитьWhy in the F... would they not model the shell after their flagship hopper !? If this thing had the sleek low-profile shell like the TFX it would've been a home run.
ОтветитьI actually like this hopper while it works 🙃 the sensor messed up on mine after like 5 weekends
ОтветитьWhen the rotor first came onto the scene, fell in love. Still using a Gen1 Rotor.
Ответитьwhy isn’t there a comparison to the TFX 1, 2, or 3?
ОтветитьIn around between 2000-2002 before I bought the Odyssey Halo B loader, I was using a Ricochet 2K loader that used the same sensor, and I honestly have to say that I never once had a problem with it feeding when I would run it dry and then reload, so I really can't imagine that this tab sensor is really going to be a problem. I'd say as long as it doesn't fall apart, it is probably a pretty decent loader for the price range.
ОтветитьThat tab thing looks simmilar to the ricochet hopper.
ОтветитьHey Brad, are you planning to share your thoughts on the CS3?
ОтветитьOn your hopper weight chart, you don't show the Revvy. I've had mine 20yrs and still haven't found anything worth swapping it out for. Yes it averages 10bps, but with modern guns with eyes, its never been a problem. Would the Sonic or something else be much of an upgrade on an Autococker? I even use my Revvy on my pumps and apart from new shells every couple of years its been amazing.
ОтветитьVery happy to see another posted video. I love binge watching your videos
ОтветитьWhen it comes to hoppers, I rock the Dye ltr for my E-mag. It has a top rate of 31.5 electric mode capped. And 16-24 in meck mode. I am planning to play next month at Capital Edge Paintball. Hope to see you out there 🙂.✌️out from this guy 👈😎👉.
ОтветитьI think the Valken v max plus is the most underrated hopper. Has eyes, 220 capacity, cheaper, high bps, and it works. I use it for a backup to my control and spire ir.
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts on how far forward the loader sits?
ОтветитьI’ve honestly never had issue with the ctrl popping open. Not sure if they’ve changed the top shell or not over the course of the years but never had it break open on a dive.
ОтветитьLove this channel love to see a new video pop up
ОтветитьI own a sonic for my emek, and I will say, it feels kinda cheep, but the feeding is amazing. For 100$, it’s the best hoppers
ОтветитьThe Dye Rotor is indeed built like a tank. It's also worth noting that the torque setting on the Dye Rotor can be adjusted, and it isn't difficult to get it dialed-in to where it consistently feeds, doesn't jam, and won't break balls (at least not your own, right?!). Adjusting the torque was the first thing I did to mine when I got it. Even after being adjusted, it'll still empty out stupid fast.
ОтветитьDude you are the best I love your videos keep it up the best content.
ОтветитьI used my gen 1 Rotor from the day I bought it new in 2009 up until 2019 or 2020, when I bought my first gen SpireIR. Now, with a BK speed feed, that is my go-to hopper. Then again, I usually play mechanical with a Gmek or Autococker, or use my Reflex Rail capped at 10bps.
BUT, thank God for the Rotor and it's insane speed. I have an old blind Angel Speed, and a blind B2K4, and had a blind Impulse until I recently sold it. And I'm grateful that I can still get all nostalgic and use these old markers without worrying about chopping. On those markers, I ALWAYS use my Rotor, and performance is flawless.
Sucks I had to cancel my triad pre order because they kept pushing the release date back. Thinking about this bad boy sonic
Ответитьyou can tell he truly cares and does this out of love. respect.
ОтветитьThis channel is awesome, never giving bad tips!
ОтветитьJust started getting back in to paintball and man, your channel is fantastic! I noticed you haven't made as much content as before. I hope that was temporary!! Keep going, this channel is a gem. Just bought a DSR+ with the Pro kit, now I want the mecha because of you haha!
ОтветитьIf you are using a Automag RT with x-valve and level 10 bolt, and properly tuned trigger with ultra high output HPA tank you HAVE to use a force feed hopper like a Rotor LT-R.
ОтветитьI bought a Sonic recently and I'm really liking it so far. The weight is definitely a stand-out feature for me. It's even lighter with a 9V than my IR2 is with the N-charge, but feels solidly built despite that. Feeds very reliably too. I also feel I have a greater field of vision when playing due to the way the feed spout is situated more toward the center/rear of the shell (loader sits more forward than other designs). Only thing I don't like is the capacity. They claim 200 but I kinda doubt that as it seems like 150 round pod fills this thing nearly to the brim. Perhaps if you remove the spring ramp it would reach the advertised number.

ОтветитьI had an issue with my sonic loader. Button would power loader on but I couldn’t get the damn thing to turn off at all. All button functions would spin mechanism!
ОтветитьI believe on this loader if you hit the power button twice quickly it will force the impeller to spin and fix the issue you were talking about with shooting the hopper empty and it not loading
ОтветитьIt's literally th same hardware of a pinokio speed, different shell
ОтветитьSo i need to break out my old pinokio then?
Ответитьgreat content very underrated
ОтветитьLove the channel!
ОтветитьThe not being able to shoot dry and gamble on having to turn on and off on your next shot is really annoying
ОтветитьSpeed was my favorite hopper, so seeing an upgrade is awesome. I do hope the battery/board is upgraded though. My speed sometimes failed whenever the battery wasn't fresh.
Great review, just bought one!
Do you think the 9v battery will run out quicker than other hoppers, given most others use more batteries? The Sonic seems to be the only hopper using a single 9v. I'm a bit confused why companies choose different battery configurations 1:9v, 2:9v, 3:AA, or 4:AA. I assume a force feed, or more complicated systems would require more batteries, however I noticed in your hopper chart that thought process doesn't necessarily seem to be in alignment. Your videos are the absolute best. Thanks for all your effort.
ОтветитьI’m 63 and have been playing since 1983 I don’t like being negative but I purchased one and I have to say it feeds great but it’s very thin plastic the first time I used it in a game the feed cover broke off and the body cracked it’s it’s very cheaply made save your money and get a rotor
