Comments show you how no matter how much you might not like someone (in this case Andrew), if the interviewer is one sided, disingenuous, uninformed then people root for that person.

I love Schultz so I am not concerned with this, just saying this interviewer sucked.

This is a perfect example of the ego in journalism and pundits, they've chosen a side already and instead of giving us facts, we get hyperbole for their opposite views and ignore that which makes their side look bad, they want to do the thinking for us and sell us on their view because they're of superior virtue, now they have put all their victims in this alphabet soup that does nothing but separate us via identity politics with a journalism field full of micro-aggression landmines and nobody is holding their leaders accountable by the one profession meant to this.

Why do NYT interviewers always have to qualify an interview before starting it, as if they are giving “trigger warnings” to the audience. Feels pretentious and condescending. We can handle it… it’s just an interview.

Kudos to this interviewer for his candor and genuine efforts at intellectual honesty, the lack of which is primarily what is tanking consumption of legacy media.

Andrew Shultz is clearly a very intelligent. There is so much disingenuous about the way he justifies his accountabity. It isn't that he didnt ask questions of Trump thats an issue, its that none of the questioning held him to any account, they just laughed and bro'd it up no matter what dumb arse answer he gave. He wasn't held accountable for anything he'd said or done.. to call raping someone a transgression is crazy. He didnt just have him on the pod, he actively promoted voting for him. To suggest that the negatives about the Democrats made voting for a lying,cheating, conficted crimial, conficted rapist, who we all knew didnt believe a thing he said. i just don't get it. I hope everyone holds people him like this accountable as Trump trashes the world.

Sorry to say this - this is the worst interview I've ever seen with Schulz. I knew NYT was out of touch, but this is ridiculous. David, you are beyond uptight - relax, and unclench.

In a interview you are supposed to be impartial and it's all about reporting on that persons opinion but in this case it's personal because you have a group of people who have pushed their way into your industry, they didn't past the same tests, they bypassed all the gatekeepers and to top it off these new people don't know the rules of the industry because they never worked in the industry. These journalist are probably annoyed but they don't want to express their opinion because for the most part they are supposed to keep their opinion to themselves.

I think this is the first time I am on this channel. What is up with the lighting? It looks like they are sitting in the dark with one camera angle.

This felt like a trap to discredit Schulz and other male dominated podcasts. I think a podcast and interview are two different things. In an interview your coming with a specific intention. Where as as in podcasts its more like your trying to get a feel of a person. So to try to blame Schulz for not asking donald the tough questions is ridiculous. He already gets those questions from MSM. I know what the MSM is saying but in a podcast i wanna know what type of person somebody is genuinely.

what democrats did wrong in the election & “ wokeness” verses questioning his current feelings about his Trump endorsement ?!He names 3 issues he wanted from Trump.Trumps a failure on all 3 and there’s no real follow up about that ?? A mention of women’s body autonomy re: DTs SA history but no mention of Roe being overturned? Obvious questions seemed like they were intentionally not asked.
