Super glue I found that the best Super Glue you can get/buy must be "Loctite" super glue i.e. Must be made by Loctite. Cheep super glue works like cheep glue (normally made in China)

O boy, my brand new Catapiller forklift 156k dollars has a Perkins engine. Atleast i know who to call for orings. Lol

I'd bet that a LOT of heavy equipment has been scrapped due to some simple mechanical failure that would have been an easy fix.

Fifty years ago my brother and i used that technique to pull the main transmission out of a drill rig . Rolled down the windows , timber through the cab . Chains and a small come along finished the job. Worst part was that was done the day after Christmas in central Ohio OUTSIDE !

Best superglue I have found that sets immediately and holds well is the DAP Rapid fuse. Teal capped bottle, stuff is awesome.

My grandpa was a chemist for Sherwin Williams and used to tell stories. One was on super glue and is the basis for my theory on what CA accelerant is.
Once upon a time a chemist was trying to make a liquid that had the same index of refraction as glass. In so doing he accidentally made a liquid that glued the refractometer's lenses together. He wrote it down for another day and went back to work. Later in his career the guy was asked to make something like super glue and pulled out the old formula. He mixed it up and it didn't work. In figuring out why he determined that the various ingredients were now produced with a much greater purity, To get it to work he had to isolate the impurities in the old solution to find the magic ingredient for super glue. So, my theory is that whatever that impurity was is what's in CA accelerant, and what's reduced in slow setting CA

You need a couple longs bolts with the heads cut off for line up dowels to slide the flywheel on while you start the flywheel bolts

I drive a 5 ton rated version of that model every day. It has a petrol motor which I've been told is either holden (Aus GM), or Chevy. It was built under licence in New Zealand some time in the 60's or 70's I'm guessing. The company keeps threatening to replace it with something built this century, but I really don't care. It's a great old work horse.

I have seen a few times on tractors with reversers if it’s going say 5-7mph one direction and someone slams it in the opposite direction sometimes the modulation is not enough to handle that shock load and it breaks the flywheel bolts.

Your Max reminds me of a dog we had when I was a boy called Babe, by her previous owner, she was a great dog but was hard on rabbits. Honestly she was hard on anything that annoyed her, including me a couple times, however rabbits were specialty. She got in a fight with a porcupine and drove several quills completely through the her upper jaw. Took the vet a couple hours to pull all the quills out I think it was somewhere around 200 in total. One thing for certain I was never worried walking through the woods with her at my side as she was all about giving better than she got.

I just rebuilt the engine in a forklift myself. A Massey Ferguson 2200 which I picked up in Eastern Illinois. It's a rough terrain machine so harder to get stuck but also hard to get unstuck as well. Fortunately I haven't done either yet as I've only got about 15-20 hours on it since the rebuild. I still have the high zinc oil in it. Also have a little Hyster lift as well. Amazing how handy those things are once you have one.
