The age they got together, despite what everyone says changing partners, letting relationships fail, and starting over includes a lot of growing and maturing, Annie stayed that 16 years old girl in that sense, naively thinking that for her husband as well she was his whole world, like he was hers.


This is what I mean when I say that it's not necessarily a bad thing for teenagers to skip onto romance, they are the most vulnerable in the end. She was sold the happily ever after, fought for it, had it just for it to be ruined by the person she loved the most.
