100% of those who do not try do not recover. I tried the Gupta Program and got 70% better in one year so far. And all the things I have tried in the medical field made me worse and poorest.

Re references to working and being a busy mother, is this more for those who still have some sort of life? What about those who are so fatigued they feel “drugged” or really feel sick as if their body is poisoned much of the time?

My ME/CFS comes on only when im being re-exposed to a biotoxin. For those individuals with CIRS, who have a physical foundation, I wonder if brain retraining can be just as effective as for those who have no definitive physical trigger?

I was doing the Guptaprogram for one year. The program is well thought, offers many tools and Ashok and his team are very comitted. Initially I experienced a better period within my CFS ( which has been fluctuating between being bedbound and having a bit of an every-day-life over the years) and I was really hopeful, but in the end I can't tell a success story. Anyway I will go on applying the knowledge and the tools that resonated with me. The root causes of these conditions are so individual! In my opinion the physical causes (like in my case) are more difficult to be adressed with this approach than the psychological ones. Summing up I would say: it's worth a try!

QUESTION: Some issues came up in this talk, which also often appear in other brain retraining discussions: the problem of other stressors such as unresolved trauma, worries or whatever. Some brain retraining programs seem to concentrate on the idea that unconscious worries or guilt or trauma or whatever maybe the cause of the nervous system being in fighter flight, or even holding people back. I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds this prospect very daunting. It seems to put an extra amount of pressure on the ability to get better. So for instance, I’m all in on the theory of brain retraining (I have long Covid) and I am convinced that my symptoms are just a dysregulated nervous system, and so I’m ready to approach my symptoms and recovery that way. And for instance “ responding well to symptoms” understanding “ it’s just false signals from my nervous system and I’m OK” expanding activity, etc.
But if one has to somehow resolve any other major anxieties in your life or worries or issues whether it’s between spouses or work insecurity or any other stressors, I don’t see that most of us are going to be able to sort of “ clear up” all the other stressors in our life. If we have to sort of just become totally stressed about anything, that’s a massive lift. So my question is: can somebody get better just concentrating on the basics of the nature of their symptoms? Just going through the steps of treating the symptoms like false nervous system signals, doing brain, retraining rehearsals and visualizations, etc.
Or if you have other stressors, is this going to be some fatal problem that keeps you in fighter flight undermining possible progress?

Thank you Raelan and Ashok! You are a great host Raelan! I enjoyed this Q&A a lot! The freeze question was great as I'm bed-bound and feel that I must have been in freeze mode constantly for the past 3 years! I'm in New Zealand. I ended up watching all the replays of The Gupta Program webinars, guptacise etc as the timings didn't really work for my Time Zone, but the replays were fine for me. I don't think many in the Program subscribers are from down under, so it makes sense to cater to the majority. I think one Gupta coach might be in Australia. I still use the Gupta tools in the hope something will click for me evetually. Ashok and the coaches are all lovely, compassionate people. I probably should have tried some one on one coaching (at an extra cost), to help me make some progress.. Take care everyone!

If long covid has nothing to do with the virus and it’s caused by other things like stress etc why does it happen to millions of people after the virus and it’s..won’t before the virus?

Gupta program is working for my withdrawal from life/freeze states and anxiety. But I still have a lot more to work on.
