I’ve said for years I don’t know how Steinbaum ever warranted a microphone. I don’t know why anyone cares about his option on sports. I am sorry you’ve given him air time on your show.
Ответить"Battered Vol Syndrome " That's funny. I know you boys sure aren't laughing.
ОтветитьRemember, a tiny percentage of OSU fans comment on social media or can go to games at the shoe. They don’t accurately represent all of the 600,000 living OSU alumni or the thousands of fans who didn’t go to the university. You’re stuck on the NIL advantage but seem to forget OSU annually recruits among the best schools in the country, well ahead of Tennessee. Also, school was out for the game and plenty of students had gone home for the holidays so try to be more realistic in your observations.
ОтветитьPaul who?
ОтветитьThis guy is a dunce cap! He's always trying to bring up CS as if that's why Ohio lost. Fact is TN isn't as manly as UM and can't beat a soft Ohio team. And they were a 6 win team at the time. TN made the cfp and made asses of themselves. Day has a good record vs shit teams but lacks where it matters most. I'd be willing to bet if TN decided to hire Day away from Ohio, this moron would be be screaming NO!!! If this goof thinks winning easy games is elite but losing big games is okay, then by all means, he deserves the coach!
ОтветитьWho made this guy the God of College Football....
ОтветитьTennessee wasn’t ready just like the Arkansas game
ОтветитьOSU has the talent advantage over Oregan. I agree. But I think Dillon Gabreal is the better qb and Dan Lanning is the better offensive mind. Should be a good game.
ОтветитьI am still proud of my Vols! One good thing that came from the whoopin we took is we know that we have a Warrior at QB. It's hard to swim in quicksand, but he never stopped fighting. GBO! VFL!
ОтветитьI remember Alabama being really hard on several great coaches, Ray Perkins, Gene Stallings and just kicked Mike Shula out the door.
ОтветитьIf I had to pick between a national championship or beat Michigan. I want the natty. I prefer both. But I would rather have the natty. It’s not on Ryan day with the Michigan loss . Ryan day didn’t throw two interceptions and he didn’t miss to feild goals . Oregan has the money because corporate for Nike is in Oregon and they support the team
ОтветитьAs a Buckeye fan, I definitely root for everyone who is playing Alabama or Georgia or Clemson or Texas. Sometimes I wonder, if I was a Purdue football fan, would I just shake off every loss, because that’s just what happens half the time, or would the losses be as crippling to my spirit as they are when the Buckeyes lose? I mean, people have been saying all year that this team is the greatest roster ever assembled etc., and for them to lay the big fat egg in the Michigan game when they were favored by 3 touchdowns? It was awful. Then for Herbstreit, Finebaum, Saban and others to say we’re wrong for blaming the coaching staff for having a ridiculous game plan and think that people who are supposed to be so good at coaching to not recognize what is working versus what is not working and change the plan after halftime? It’s crazy. I still cannot understand how they lost that game. It’s not called for to threaten Coach Day’s family but it’s reasonable in my estimation to ask whether he is the best coach for the program when he shows the inability to beat the rival with a roster like this one.
ОтветитьAlabama Texas and Ohio State all compete for whiniest fan base yearly
ОтветитьFinebaum is irrelevent, someone who looks like they never held a football in his hands, much less play the game.
ОтветитьThey hate Michigan, actually hate, so its hard to comprehend
ОтветитьAs an Ohio state grad and lifelong fan living in Ohio and closer to Ann Arbor than Columbus; it's really hard to quantify this rivalry. There simply isn't another rivalry this big, sorry SEC fans. I can accept a loss to Georgia by 1 point after a very good game plan and execution. I can accept a 1 point loss to Oregon, again after a good game plan and execution. What I cannot accept, is running up the middle 100 times against a Michigan defense whose strength is in the middle. The definition of insanity is keep running the same play over and over again and expecting different results. He's a fine coach, just don't let him ever coach another Michigan game again.
ОтветитьWere not going back to the John Cooper era of constantly losing to that team up north ! (2-10-1 was his record)
ОтветитьGamecock fan here. Just to let you know. We stepped up and paid LaNorris to the tune of $2.7 million. So no more criticism from you about us losing great players. 😊
ОтветитьI hope cousin Earl is doing ok. Just listen to STJ and enjoy the upward trend we’re having over the last few years it’ll get better lol
ОтветитьI really appreciate how you covered the Connor Stallion situation. I am in complete agreement that he turned the Michigan program around and Ryan Day is the one who has suffered most because of it. I also agree that to fire Ryan Day would be one of the great blunders in sports history. As a Buckeye fan, I would be very disappointed if they dismissed Ryan Day. A side note, I really enjoy your videos. They always give me a bit of a chuckle.
ОтветитьAs an Ohio State fan, I greatly appreciate your comments. You clearly see things in a more reasonable light than "the fringe element" of our fanbase. As you well know, when you have a large and passionate (as Tennessee also has) fanbase, those number of irrational takes become "news" for the national media to run with. Any rational Ohio State fan knows that Ryan Day, while not perfect, is an excellent head coach and loved by his players. Love your podcast and is one a make a point to regularly check in on.
ОтветитьFinebaum can’t get over the fact that Alabama didn’t make a 12 team playoff.
ОтветитьWell they whooped us but at least our fanbase is better than theirs. I think we can say that definitively, after we literally took over their stadium during a playoff game.
ОтветитьHe's a well known Ohio State hater. His opinions don't matter to us
ОтветитьGBO
ОтветитьThese Ohio State fans that are so upset about Ryan Day can't imagine what we as Vol fans have been through with our coaching fiascos and BVS! The are clueless what we all dealt with prior to the arrival of Danny White and then Coach Heupel. Let them go through a few seasons of "brick by brick" and maybe, just maybe they might understand. I don't know what Coach Day makes but I have a feeling that the BS he has to deal with day in and day out he likely earns every penny. Thanks to Brother John for keeping us updated and I will be pulling for Dan Lanning and his Ducks when they take on the Buckeyes. Keep 'em coming Brother John! STJ Brethern!
ОтветитьSorry. Ryan Day deserves the crap he’s getting from OSU fans. When you are losing and don’t adjust your game plan, you deliberately lose the game.
ОтветитьAnythang for a Click…ehhh Finebaum?
ОтветитьI like UT for the way they rebuilt and are a contender……I’m an OSU grad
ОтветитьPaul Whinebaum 😪
ОтветитьFinbaum is mad The Ohio State whooped Tennessee like that
ОтветитьWhen you are hired at Ohio State you have two goals. Beat Michigan and win a national championship period
ОтветитьAnd i be
ОтветитьNotre Dame gave Indiana seats so bad they were closer to Jesus than they were to the football filed and they were in the same state
ОтветитьI got Ryan Days back always have didn’t understand the Michigan game but who am i the best team doesn’t always win don’t listen to the talking heads on ESPN they smell blood
ОтветитьDay is not Woody, and your 1st job is beat Michigan, then win a National Championship. He's already failed by Woody standards
ОтветитьAs a buckeye fan. You are right.
ОтветитьYou're crazy! They're not the best team in this playoff they're fixing to lose when they play a real team with real defense. If they get by Oregon, Texas will take them down. They could have beat the Vols with second and third string only when you have no defense and a coach that doesn't change anything. You're going to be quite disappointed this coming up year and the AD at Tennessee needs to be rarely doing some phone calls
Ответить/yawn Paul who ???
Ответитьok J heres my take on these 12 team playoffs. seems like the first teams to go at it ,then losers of those games dont get a bowl?Because they was good enough to be in the playoffs?? another thing I dont think is fair is that the lesser in ranked team has to play the higher ranked team at their home field?? Why not a netrual site? These are the only games like that to began with then the rest of playoffs are bowls. Another thing that seems REAL damn fishy to me is that Ohio was ranked top 5/6 most of the season then all of a sudden the committee has them paired to play tenn with 2 losses at Ohio. My take on this is the NCAA has the red ass at Tenn over the lawsuit thingy and was looking for payback. Its just a theory but it sure does look suspect. thanks for listening david chamblee
ОтветитьBig ears is running to Herbie’s defense and flip flopping once again. He was one of the loudest pundits calling for RD’s head.
ОтветитьYOU GOT YOUR ASS KICKED DEAL WITH IT
ОтветитьIt’s not the fan base fault to expect our head coach to complete the three goals he has been given every year and has only completed TWO of them one time in the five years he’s coached.
ОтветитьMy grandma knows more about football than paul(with a little p)
ОтветитьHas anyone noticed this entire narrative has come from one network?
ОтветитьRotten days that his three goals were to beat Michigan, win the Big Ten, and win the national championship. The first two he failed at. So if he loses the championship, they may want him out.
ОтветитьPortsmouth Fanatic.BS.once again Paul Fine bum just doesn’t get it.sere the most passionate fan base in the country so losing The Game 4 years in a row is unexceptionable, that’s why it’s called The Game
ОтветитьOSU is just a unique program and fanbase. Like anyone gives a God damn what ESPN or friggin’ Paul finebaum thinks. About anything. The entire south loves Alabama and each other. The Midwest is different. We don’t root for our conference. I think that’s ridiculous actually. We’re going back to pre civil war America here.
