Some views expressed by the analyst is not accurate. Intelligence is what allowed humans to become the most powerful species on Earth. The race to AGI is a race to global dominance. But this is an assumption that AGI can be controlled.

DeepSeek did not dampen demand for accelerated computing. In fact, demand increases. Waymo has already succeeded in providing robotaxi service. It will move into mass adoption rapidly. Beyond just robotaxi, we will get to see what new development is at the AI frontier. The demand for Nvidia chip is incredible because company are trying to be ahead in the AI race. Businesses and jobs are already being disrupted.

It is simply wrong of FT to say China was in a race for AI dominance - they never had the chip advantage nor the LLM models to start with!
A small private start up DEEPSEEK discovered a few months ago is not a industrial policy unlike the Chips ACT. FT inspires fear and ignorance so people would read their drivel. Sad state of journalism ... more and more like a tabloid.

nVidia ... is an ACCIDENTAL success ... They did NOT design their chips to ALLOW people to MINE CRYTO .... The users realised they cud use Graphics cards to do so ..... They DID NOT design their chips to be used for AI ... The users discovered they could use GPU's to build their models ....

If Nvidia wont make drastic shift in its GPU (accelerators) then its days are counted. Performance of current classical computing architectures is slowing down very quickly. They draw tremendous amounts of power without much performance gains. Winners will be the ones who figures out alternatives for classical semiconductors. Like Photonic Computing, Quantum Computing and so on. If Company comes out of nowhere and introduces Photonic chip that is as powerful as Nvidia chip but require 10 times less power to run... Nvidia's bubble of dominance will burst within DAYS. People will lose billions of dollars

Jensen showed you in the GTC2025 keynote that deepseek's token usage is heavy, that is not the "cost effectiveness" that you initially had thought. It's the polar opposite of the gullible assumption.
