New Duluth mountain bike feature on DM!

Do you need to start pedaling hard right after the rock roll that ends just before the Duluth Traverse to have enough speed for the new feature?

I tried the new DM wooden feature today. Good news, it doesn’t require a ton of speed to complete it. Bad news, it’s hard to get a lot of speed going into the feature. I tried pedaling really hard over the bedrock, but there are a few potential hangups on the rock itself and the roots before the rock. Not really a smooth line to be had. I tried to make myself as “light” as possible going over the rock. That seems to be the key. I needed to keep pedaling right up to the ladder bridge. There are a few different lines to take, as well. It’s a great feature and a lot of fun to have something new on DM.

Rode there last week, super fun! Hadn’t been there in over 3 years and wasn’t even sure if that was new or had always been there. Damn it was good to be back on that trail though! 🙌
