I teach xc skiing in the Minneapolis area, and I often get groups of young teenagers as students. I ask them before the lesson begins: "do you know who Jessie Diggins is?"....and all of them categorically raise their hands yes. I would also add that most of my students that age are young women, and they wear the headband just like Jessie. Heroes like this do make a BIG difference!

As an endurance athlete, Diggins commands my utmost respect and admiration 😌🫀

This is awesome to watch! Way to go Jesse ❣ I learned to alpine ski on a tow-rope in that park in the early 70's. They had a nordic ski jump as well that I always dreamed of hitting. I never had the chance but did get to fly the big Olympic hill in Park City and another monster at Howelson Hill in Steamboat. Thanks for hosting and bringing back my memories 🙏
