That's a wonderful technique. Thanks for sharing it with us
ОтветитьIs there anything special about how you finish the round?
ОтветитьVery interesting.. lovely demonstration
Ответитьlooks so nice. how would you use a lateral braid, aside from the bind off you mentioned?
ОтветитьI have always enjoyed any of your tutorials and have saved them, and this one, in my computer knitting file of special videos. Your instructions are clear, pleasant and thorough. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьLove it. ❤️✌🏽
ОтветитьI tried doing this and found it fun to do. The main problem I had was splitting the yarn. I guess I just need to practice. I’m not sure about how you start and end a row of this. What applications would you use this braid for?
ОтветитьYou are a very good teacher, your voice gives us confidence!
It is as if we are knitting with you. Please continue to give us A++ tutoriels.
(Ps. I am a retired teacher and you say just enough for us to grasp what you are saying)
I’m very confused I got stuck at the the first parts when u said put it under the horizantal when I did that it was thick urs wasn’t so where did I messs up
ОтветитьThank you dear💕
ОтветитьLove this technique Mimi! Thank You so much for the video!
ОтветитьI have this braided stitch in a pattern I am planning to knit, and the written instructions left me more confused than I was before I read them. Thank you for your excellent visual demonstration of this technique. Especially, the how to fix it if one goofs up. One does goof up, often. >_<
ОтветитьVery nice alternative method of doing the lateral braid. It keeps that next row of stitches from becoming stalky and stretched out. How you start eh braid also cures that wobbly starting stitch at the beginning the row. Great video, clear narrative! I like your term "muscle memory". Knitting is all about getting your hands to cooperate with your brain. Good knitters seem to have this in spades! Thank you for sharing this.
ОтветитьMimi, I wish to use a lateral knitted in the round. Does this same technique work in the round?
ОтветитьThank you so much for your timely response! Your videos are always the clearest of any!
ОтветитьWonderful tutorial and technique. Side note, the best voice and cadence 😃
ОтветитьThank you for your lateral braid tutorial- knits fast and, with your tug on the yarn at a crucial stage, the following row doesn't turn out sloppy as it does for other lateral braid methods.
ОтветитьThank you for the great tutorial. It finally clicked for me.
ОтветитьThat was the easiest and best tutorial I’ve found. Appreciate the hint about tugging the yarn.
ОтветитьThis looks a bit easier then the traditional, which I messed up when I tried and had to start my project over. The other tutorial had one feature that I found super helpful: they wrote the instruction out so you could read them while you watched. For visual learners like me, this is perfect. For this multi-step method, having a list of steps is nice☺️. Thank you!
ОтветитьMimi! You saved the day!!! Thank you...You are now my favorite person.
ОтветитьLove lateral braids and you clear demo!
Trying to find the BO you mentioned. Please reveal the link.
Thank you.
Mimi, this alternate technique was perfect. Have you figured out a technique in the opposite direction, basically on the purl side, so the design goes the other direction?
ОтветитьBoa tarde 👋
Chegando ao seu canal vim conhecer seu trabalho. Tricô parabéns lindaa peça 🥰 Eu Sou Marly Alves da cidade de Ribeirão Preto SP Brasil🇧🇷 prazer 🙌
Brilliant!! Thanks I have 1 row to use this!!
ОтветитьAnother great technique! Thanks for sharing!💕
ОтветитьThank you, I was looking for this.
ОтветитьI am a right-hand knitter, so this is very helpful. I am glad I found your video. Just need to snug that stitch :)
ОтветитьThank you for showing how to spot a mistake and how to fix it! great video. great instruction. easy to understand, follow and remember.
ОтветитьOmg!!! Game changer! I wasn’t having trouble do the vikkle braid, but my next row had huge elongated stitches I couldn’t fix!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
ОтветитьThanks! I tried to fix a split yarn stitch a couple stitches back and ended up getting lost as to how to move forward once fixed. Your version let me understand the basics of the stitch and I was able to get back in the groove again! Thanks!!!
