You said : 64GB of memory, but it's 64GB of storage. Memory is 2GB(ram).
ОтветитьWait... 4 tracks... samples are there but it can't sample... omg it's a Volca Sample
ОтветитьYou have in each track a « sample rack » (I.e drum rack) is available meaning it’s 16 track per track = total 64 tracks.
Any type of data could be in each sample rack (with its own sequence !)
🧐 it’s 64GB of internal
storage, not 64MB…plenty enough. The preset sounds and presets take up 10GB roughly.
Great video! I’d love to see a video about resampling uses.
ОтветитьThis is an amazing product. I'd buy it. Currently using the Lite version of Live 12. The bundled Intro version is a welcome upgrade.
ОтветитьThank you, very interesting!
ОтветитьBut $450 is a lot for a sketch pad. A cheap tablet and FL Studio is a better sketch pad for less.
I use Cubasis on a iPad Pro for composition while traveling only. Can’t travel with my MPCs. Not cheap by any measure but you can get FL Studio and a cheap Android tablet for less and can do more than the Move on the go.
The Move is Ableton Note in hardware. Note wasn’t good in software. I don’t want to double down on it. If Ableton actually followed the path of Cubase, Logic Pro, and FL Studio in giving the user a more DAWlike mobile experience, maybe the Move would’ve come out better.
Only Reddit complains about this. Nothing out of the ordinary
ОтветитьVery curious to see how chopping works on this.
ОтветитьLove the tutorial man. I've never been a fan of Ableton reverbs. But I can see it being a tidy little device to take with you on the go.
ОтветитьDoes it have sidechain?
ОтветитьBasically Ableton Note in a box
Ответитьthank you. Seems like being able to name the samples you make with the device would be important as well. I mean naming on the device itself, without needing to go into manager software.
ОтветитьOn the sample playback. If you go to the Filter & Setup Bank (using shift while selecting the sample) you can toggle between trigger modes and set it to Gate. I guess this will avoid the issue but then it probably something you have to record rather than trigger through the step sequencer...
ОтветитьHappy to hear your take. Seems reasonable. Think this might suit me after bouncing off the, to me, inscrutable 404mkii.
ОтветитьToo much blablabla !!!
ОтветитьGreat video. Regarding cutting off long samples in the drum rack perhaps you could use the Choke Kit drum rack template and triggering another note will cut off the current note.
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks for this. I use Push 3 a lot an was wondering if Move would be redundant. I guess not.
ОтветитьMy vape has a better screen than this 😂
ОтветитьWould you chose thes over the SP-404 mk2??
ОтветитьTimestamps are your friend!
ОтветитьThank you for the gentle introduction! I really like your calm, unagitated manner!
Ответитьif they implement a full blown elektron style sequencer in coming updates, this thing will be rad.
ОтветитьI can’t help thinking that they might’ve been better off creating a dedicated controller with I/o for the note app that allows for easier integration with larger setups.
Ответить64GB of RAM . 50 GB for user.
ОтветитьIs it possible to connect it to koala sampler and map the pads and knobs to control koala? Thanks
ОтветитьI'm realizing this device is a clear competitor to the Roland MC-101. Both have 4 tracks, a small display, and built-in instrument programs. The Move having the sequencer buttons, more pads, encoders instead of sliders and potentiometers, line-in sampling, and resampling make it a better alternative to the MC-101.
ОтветитьEnjoy your walkthroughs. Can you set different lengths for each sound? Also any ability to change probability?
ОтветитьLove my Circuit Tracks for that immediate desire to create beats and jam out something that just may turn into something else. The workflow is extremely easy and more importantly, fun....then I see this and think "worthy upgrade?". I could sell my Tracks and put it towards it but will I gain enough to warrant it? Still undecided....but it looks good! Great walkthrough as well buddy!
ОтветитьMoan... wish you could export stems from Move Manager instead of only a whole set master track. I get your take on it that it is intending for finishing in Live etc but some of the marketing jabber clearly states you can use it with other platforms etc. and not just Live. without stem export though, it massively compromises that.
ОтветитьGreat Vid Mano)
ОтветитьThanks for the review! Seems amazing
ОтветитьDamn, which Ableton informercial to watch?, so many dropped!!!
ОтветитьThis was such a good intro to the Move! Thanks for making these videos. I'm super excited to have a little sketchpad that is so well integrated with Live, even with all of its limitations. This feels very much like an instrument as opposed to a "studio in a box". I subbed and can't wait to see more of your videos!
ОтветитьThank you. You are a wonderful teacher.
ОтветитьGreat video. It actually make me think about getting one. I currently have OPZ which is to some extend similar. Move seems more simplistic but also way better sounding and the integration with Ableton Live is fantastic thing. Sampling loops out of OPZ is so frustrating. 4 tracks is major bummer but perhaps resampling can help with that a bit.
One question - is sample start automatable? Can you change sample start of sample on each step (like on Digitakt)? It could free up the drum rack a bit since you could "slice" sample that way using just one pad.
Yes sir
to stop the long sample you could assign it to a choke along with another drum pad with nothing on it set to choke, i believe. hit the empty pad to stop the sample
ОтветитьI paid that exact amount for a Push 2… There’s been a few years of inflation but this sound nuts.
ОтветитьHow did you load your own drum samples onto it?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhat can you use the other 16 pads for?
Ответить13 minutes in and nothing
ОтветитьOmg this guys hands move way too much
ОтветитьNot sure if you've figured out how to stop a sample yet, but if you hold down shift and touch the Decay nob you'll see that it has switched to Length. You can shorten the sample playback there.
Ответитьdidnt we already have the roland mc101 a few tears back , that's got faders and a real synth engine , this seems 100 quid to over priced to be honest , if you cant sound design on the thing then its a toy rompler.
Ответитьcan you record automation with it? especially, the automation programming per note in the step sequencer. you did it with velocity and note length in this video, but can i also do that with effects or instrument parameters. it can be done easily on the push and it is one of my favorite features. can this device do that, too?
Ответить
