Awesome machine. Did you consider the type of tap and die set you were using for the linear rails? That is, does it matter if the tap and die were fine or course type tap and die for the accuracy of the linear rails?

What are the XYZ capacities? What size materials did you use? I am super interested in doing this myself and looking at different designs and methods.

What would you estimate the parts cost for your mill project?

You may want to fill the vertical rectangular tube with hydraulic cement, or concrete, or epoxy granite mix to add damping to that element of your machine.

What linear bearings and ball screws did you use? What spec?
