for people with a larger budget I recommend the Brompton folding bike (Made in London, England) that are very very compact in size - 16" wheels and very small when folded. They cost over 1000 USD but are made of excellent quality matetrials and can last for a very long time.

I can get 12 foot lumber and rebar in my Prius with hatch closed , it does rest on the dash . I use a foam floor pad to protect the windshield .

I will be this guy when I do my retirement vanlife in 15 years....if my wife joins me, its a sprinter then, but a Prius would be best if you'll do it alone.

I know the size would work because I use my 2014 Toyota RAV4 to live full-time as a nomad in my mobile bedroom space. I have always been intrigued by the climate control in a Hybrid. Its difficult at times in cold temps or high humidity or hot temps without the climate control. I do have 120W solar. Do you have any suggestions?

Great setup, but u dont need black towels, just get tinted windows. So much easier dude. Another plus to tinted windows is that u can see whats going on outside the car. Very important, especially if your boondocking alone.

You think the Prius is nice? Try the 2010-2017 Lexus CT200h. Its the exact same hybrid/drivetrain as a Gen 3 Prius.
It does all the same HVAC cooling engine starting stuff. Seats fold flat to sleep in, just a bit nicer inside, and I think its stealthier. Who would think someone living in a Lexus is homeless!?

I remember watching this video when it first came out-almost 5 years ago. Wow. When Bob said people in other countries think a 400 SF house is average and in America people think it is a tiny house, I thought about a friend of mine and his wife who purchased an old Parson's cottage which was 375-400 SF. It had 2 bedrooms. I initially questioned if it was big enough. He told me his wife grew up in China so she was OK with the size. That was before I watched Tiny House videos for a couple of years and Bob's channel for 5-6 years. I am always learning thanks to Bob and the Community.

Could you add solar panels to a Prius and connect them to the car's battery to increase the range even more?

How long does that 90lb. battery last? The battery that you consider a generator.

I really like your perspective on how everything can be "relative." As time passes, I see things more and more this way and find that more positive moments occur with "less" as opposed to "more." BTW, we have 2 gen two Priuses, and my wife and I love them!
