Really interesting Joey. I have been collecting since 1978 and know just a few of these facts. Never got a Tie Pilot. I better get one to see if he smells like Strawberry Shortcake - that is a bizarre one.
ОтветитьThese are Great Facts can’t wait for the next 25’ keep them coming.
ОтветитьAlways love hearing vintage Kenner Star Wars figure facts, even if I know most of them. 😉
I hope that you and your family are having a relaxing memorial day holiday weekend. I'm sure happy to have even a day of downtime right now.
Looking forward to the next 25 facts you come up with my friend!
Ther was somfing about the spanish made verion of the t fighter pilot i have 1 off those ,no ide how pay for that .
ОтветитьOn the Han Solo figure,
what about the white legs Han variant?
The white legs painted black were produced first, second came the black plastic legs, then the big head Han.
On Zuckuss/4-Lom issue, I would argue that the droid gets the 4-Lom name.
It makes sense to me. :)
But if it was some sort of John Lennon/Yoko Ono thing, then that that's a different story. :) haha
I still say the British kids got the better version not having to deal with the drilling sound for the Palitoy vehicles. :)
Happy Fathers day :)
Thanks for the video
The Palitoy X-Wing Fighter also replaced the Kenner moulded rear engine detail with a sticker, also to save production costs. Also, apart from the Kenner opening hood missing on the Palitoy Landspeeder, it had the Kenner rigid chrome plastic radiator grilles replaced by chrome stickers, again to save on costs. We lost out on a lot in the UK because of costs but it led to some interesting variants, including our beloved Palitoy Death Star... 😁
ОтветитьGreat video joe!!
ОтветитьKenner definitely messed up with the original Han Solo, (my favorite character), making that balloon head version!🤔🤦🏾😅
ОтветитьDidn't know that about Leia Boushh helmet hook or Jabba's Ledy squishy head 😂it's like the hidden door on the Millennium Falcon, it clips to bottom side of the main cover. Kenner came up with the name 4-LOM because it stood for " For the Love Of Money"🤑and all those variants, I hate that AFA doesn't acknowledge most of those on the labels on carded examples. I'm proud of you my Padawan ✊ you are ready to take the Jedi Trials😉👌 Happy collecting bro 😎🤙.. . Also, the Tusken Raider has a long eye tube variant 👍
Ответитьhi Joey, your videos are always so interesting! and I learned more information! like for example the jaba lili ledy!
ОтветитьThe Leia Boushh weapon fits under the arm from the back , you raise her arm place weapon handle against her side (long part upwards) and bring the arm back down to her waist
ОтветитьAwesome video!
ОтветитьYak face was also released in Australia, i bought 2 from Kmart at the time of $0.65 each!
ОтветитьThe Final 15❤️
ОтветитьGreat info!! Thanks! sooOOoo biiiiiig!!
ОтветитьThank you for taking the time to share these.
ОтветитьThroughly enjoyed this- love your posts !!! Thanks 🙏🏻
ОтветитьA little unknown fact: Some tri-logo Yak Face were found with weapons and even a staff factory packed with it.
ОтветитьYak Face was also released carded in Australia.
ОтветитьAs always, a great video!!
A fantastic idea of you to put together, in one video all this facts about some of the keener's SW figures. Keeping the history alive!!
Great video. Love these facts. Stuff every collector should know. (I still need that red bar R5 … one of only three variants that I don’t own)
ОтветитьGreat video - another fact about the Palitoy X - wing that is somewhat "figure" related - the R2 dome was done in chrome, vs the US with a matte silver - to give a higher perceived value
ОтветитьIn the entire run of SW/ESB/ROTJ/POTF/Droids/Ewoks carded figures there were only two that did not have two peg holes in their feet. One didn’t have any and the other only had one.
Give up?
FX-7 had zero peg holes
Urgah Lady Gorneesh only had one peg hole
/useless knowledge
The R5 D4 with the red block I didn't know about until now. Thanks!
Ответить4LOM makes more sense for the character West End Games gave it to since he is more like a droid. Most droids have alphanumeric names, so the change is consistent.
ОтветитьI've noticed another variation on the Lando Calrissian figure that isn't listed anywhere. Besides the white smile he has two distinct belt buckle sculps. One is a wide triangle pattern with a line running through the center and one with just the triangles and no line.
ОтветитьLove the review and the new tidbits I learned! always look forward to your videos!
ОтветитьGreat Video, but If the Madine figure was only made in France, it shouldn't have "Made in Hong Kong" on the packaging.😃
ОтветитьGreat video, love your content. The question of the correct blaster for the Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper Disguise figure came up recently in one of the FB collectors groups. And someone posted a picture of their carded figure WITH the blue /black blaster. so it does exist. Also Klaatu is pronounced with a short "A" vowel sound, like "bat" or "fat". And it’s not only part of the phrase from the movie, but is also the name of the main alien character. The Day The Earth Stood Still is an excellent classic film, that has thematic relevance even today. you should watch it! Thanks again for the content!
ОтветитьQuick question...do you own the Rebel Transport from either ESB or ROTJ line? If not what is your interest level
ОтветитьLeia Boushh’s staff sits under her left arm
Ответитьwow I did not nkow about that thank you sir for those facts
ОтветитьThere are actually 2 variants of the Small Head Han. The very first release had while legs that were painted black. They were a softer plastic and a bit rubbery. The releases after that had black molded legs in a stiffer plastic.
ОтветитьI’ve got a robot thing with the legs on backwards.
ОтветитьYak Face was also released in Australia back in the mid 80's
ОтветитьDo you have the Life Day Chewbacca?
ОтветитьCheck with AFA on the Luke Storm Trooper Blue Black Blaster. Saw both next to eachother afa'd. But please dont think i'm trying to be smug. I dont evean have a loose one yet. They were in my friends collection. Thank you for making all of your cool vids.
ОтветитьMy dad passed away in 2020 and my brother and I found a bunch of my old Star Wars toys from the 70s/80s in the crawlspace, including 2 of the vinyl caped Jawas (in the old Darth Vader carrying case) and I was curious as to how and where to get them appraised to sell. They're both loose, and I could only find one of their blasters. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm in a smaller city in Canada, and I don't even know where to begin. There's about 40 figures, but the Jawas are the only ones I know are supposedly worth anything substantial, and the "small-head Han Solo" I think is fairly rare too. Those ones are from either 1978 or '79. Thanks 😊
ОтветитьHi there, i love your channel which i have just found. I've always ben a big Star wars fan and i've just started on my collecting journey and have just got a Darth Vader signed by David Prowse and an admiral Motti signed by Richard Le Parmentier which says "The force works!" which i love lol😆but i also have some other Star wars action figures which have stickers on them, there's some nice figures but some have stickers on them and i wondered if you possibly knew a way to remove the stickers safely and without damage to the boxes?
ОтветитьI paid for your thing I wanted help of displays I've had
ОтветитьThis is stupid I asked for help I was going to send you pictures of my collection can't do it
ОтветитьIf you enjoyed this video, please give it a like, it really helps me out! And please subscribe to see more videos like this.
