Just started Clair Obscur 33 yesterday, I think this is one of the best games I‘ve played in recent Memory. This next thing is being forced on me:

One of my favorite parts about this game is the title screen. No online store not even the studio name is visible, it's just the name of the game and a beautiful soundtrack to let you feel what you're about to get into.

To think that group of people who made a game that they themselves would enjoy to play would a recipe for success. Weird right

Baldur's Gate won GOTY in 2023. The next game Vincke was talking about ended up being Astro Bot, which is a Playstation first party game. But Team ASOBI themselves is also a relatively small team of less than a hundred at its core. And you can feel the love for the franchise and the care for history and the people who loved that history throughout that game. This year seems to be following in both those games' footsteps because I totally agree that those are the top 3 games this year, and they greatly represent the best parts of the industry

Fairly diverse and unique winners without mountains of mtx or dlc and this isn't even including the nominations.

Split fiction is really fun but the story is meh expadition 33 is really fun and a crazy good story kkd2 might be a challenge but we’ll see

Literally everything was fun or worth doing in Exp 33. That was soooo good.

KCD2 is too niche and controversial to win. And personally it's a great simulation game but waaay too boring and gimmicky

People will start to trust indi games more than ever

AC Shadows is game of the year, the sooner you accept it the better 😊

Astrobot too! Sony was to busy dumping their money into concord to realize they had one of the best platformers being made that year, it won GOTY too. And Astrobot also had a smaller team.

I greatly dislike turn based games and this game does not change my mind i do not like it

Idk, I think it is a good game, but I kinda feel everyone is treating it as second comming of RDR2. Maybe just not my genre but I feel it is not even close to KCD2 in my mind

The end of act 1 really ruined this game for me. Yeah its still a great game, but was not nearly as much a fan of it past that
