ОтветитьWe fry our sprouts. Cut off the stalk and the outer leafs. Cut it in half through the stalk. In a flat frying pan put in some oil and some sliced garlic and Black pepper. Put in the Spouts flat face down and fry on a high heat until they start to Brown. Turn down the heat, cover and let them cook for about 10mins, then serve.

ОтветитьMy fave way to prepare Brussel Sprouts: throw them in the garbage before my wife has a chance to cook them. Brussel Sprouts and Asparagus are vile and loathsome vegetables. Yukk pooie!

ОтветитьIF you HATE Brussels Sprouts ... this is how to make them disappear from view and emptied of nutrients and designed to put weight on !!! The leftover boiled water is the 2nd best ingredient. But unused.

ОтветитьA link to a printable recipe would have been nice. As it is you have to go through and listen to the video recipe directions repeatedly to write it down. Not a big fan of Brussel Sprouts but I do know they have some nutritional benefits. tried lots of ways to cook them and haven't found one i liked yet. These looks promising so I will try it.

ОтветитьThere really is no need to boil the sprouts before adding to a gratin; neither do you need salt; sprouts have enough natural salt. Just bung them in the sauce & cook in a low oven. I'd add chestnuts as well.
