You smart smart man
Ответитьyour awesome thanks for all the help
Ответитьr you using a T4i in your vid. we have a T4i and love it but we dont us the auto focus
ОтветитьLet me Focus on that cool sweat shirt. Is it WarHammer 40k? On another focus related subject. Having done film school 6 years ago. I'm manual focus all the way. One thing that I've been looking for is a depth of field chart like I used with 16mm camera in film school, but for DSLR cameras. Is there there anything out there that you know of that can help with this? I know this may be a loaded question.
ОтветитьSo can you make a camcorder have shallow depth of field?
Ответитьi love your laptop background bsg season 4
ОтветитьAnother great video :) Where did you get the intro music from?
Ответить@Grant Schulte use a tripod, step away from the subject and then zoom to frame the shot and you'll have a shallow depth of field, the problem with camcorders is that they have everything in focus.
ОтветитьAwesome video is always great to refresh your memory with this kinda info thanks.
Ответить@Bryan Krauss there is application for smart phones with that info, DOF calculator, or online DOF masters is a web where you can put all the info and it will calculate the DOF, Hyper focal length, etc etc
Ответитьn order to keep the subject I'm focus at a very wide aperture you'll need to turn the focus ring, in big productions they have a person assigned just to do that, this person is called the focus puller. They use marks on the follow focus system to have a very smooth focus transition.
ОтветитьMy wife loved me enough this year to get me a Follow Focus......doing those dishes paid off! :D
ОтветитьI have camcorder :,(
ОтветитьGreat episode as always! Magic Lantern has a great feature called focus peaking... But so far I have not had the nerve to install it :(
ОтветитьGreat Episode! Lots of info.. Ive run into the issue with my 60D
ОтветитьHey, could you make an episode on 35mm adapters and if it's possible to make one? Thanks!
ОтветитьYou should have asked Santa for a new keyboard. Yours is missing some keys.
ОтветитьEpisode 3 Episode 3 Episode 3 Episode 3 Episode 3
ОтветитьI'm pretty certain that it doesn't have any of those. It is a Sony HDR PJ10. I have been looking for an aperture setting but cannot find one...
ОтветитьLOL! Sure! Keys r overratd! xD
ОтветитьAlso as far as gear.. I am stuck budgeting myself greatly.. I just ordered a 55XPROB with a 498 Maxi Ball head/RC 4 QR I will buy a nice fluid pan head eventually.. What sorts of Lighting kits would you recommend for a budget? What lenses would you recommend? The first on my list is the Canon 1.4 50mm The rest on my list are up there in Price like.. Tamrom 24-70mm 2.8 which is $1300 and Canon 70-200mm 2.8 which is $2000 yeeesh.. haha
ОтветитьGood work mate!!!!
ОтветитьI wish you could tell that to Peter Jackson on the Hobbit...
ОтветитьI really want ML, but I am afraid that I will brick my camera. Do you use ML?
ОтветитьYou tease! What is this setting you so very clearly left for the next video. You're a jerk :P great video :)
ОтветитьCant tell you how many times ive gone to take a still and my camera was still on MF.
Ответитьwatching some battlestar?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this.
Ответитьbest part about this channel is you leave a comment he WILL respond to you. Thanks so much for everything.
ОтветитьIm using a cropped.. Canon 60D Within a year I will upgrade to a full frame camera like the 5D Mark III I wanted to get my feet wet with DSLR and learn alot about it.. buy lighting & sound equipment also adding some good quality lenses.. Get some cash flow and accounts under my belt and start building my portfolio.. so when I do upgrade to a full frame camera I will have already established myself with some decent equipment and lenses
Ответитьthe reason why I wanted the 1.4 instead of the nifty fifty/fantastic plastic is durability... alot of the stuff I will be doing I will want solid lenses while out and about and though I wont cry much about a $100 lens takin a dive.. the $200 diff in price tag for the quality of the lens construction itself is worth it.. However, if you recommend the 1.8.. I may just make the initial investment to have fun with it and upgrade later..
Ответитьintelligent you are... Agree I do
Ответитьhehe
ОтветитьThanks for your channel, always good stuff on.
ОтветитьWhat about the gh3 it has continues auto focus.
ОтветитьULTRAMARINES B*!@%
ОтветитьMy eyes fin it hard to focus on anything further than 30cm away. I will name this condition Myopia.
Ответитьlol
Ответитьit helped!
ОтветитьWhat camera u using to film this?
ОтветитьIt still isn't clear how to keep my moving subject in focus at all times while maintaining a shallow depth of field. can you help with that ?
ОтветитьI notice in some videos your teleprompter makes you appear to be looking right down the lens at me but this video, you appear to be talking to someone to my left?
M - GB
A big issue I have is that I'm alone when I'm making my videos. I'm also the fool in front of the camera while my Canon T5i is on a tripod. What would you recommend for my situation.? Not only am I alone and have to be in front of the camera I'm also moving, not allot but moving nonetheless.
ОтветитьIt certainly does help. As always very important information simply explained. Resulted in an 'Aha' moment, now I understand.
ОтветитьThe gun is misleading in terms of depth of field. The trigger is in focus because the rest of the gun was cropped to be out of focus. Look closely and you'll see the hard line of focus running vertically just behind the trigger.
ОтветитьThanks for this, but the music in the background is a bit disturbing.
