Ответитьi own a kt100 kart but idk if they are supposed to be really loud or if the engine is just accelerated i would say but pushing down the brakes does not stop the wheels from moving

I am new to Karting and just purchased a senior Arrow AX9 go kart frame with 11×7.10-5 rear racing tires on a 50mm rear axel
I am purchasing the yamaha 100s motor next week, though not sure what gear set up to use, I want good take of speed and best max speed I could get out of for performance. I weigh around 98kg

ОтветитьI just bought a used cart with this engine for my son. How do I tell what carb it has. Also, the threads on the crank shaft where the starter nut thread on is stripped. What’s the best way to repair this. I started filing the threads but as I get closer to the end the metal is pretty mashed. Can I get away with cutting the end off to the clean threads?

I’m a newbie to karts and it’s been daunting , I don’t have 10,000 I have mor like 1500$ and that took me along time to save , knowing that I could get a quality engine make some feel great ..and gave me hope again to get the back rolling , and trust me I will be buying my first engine Without a single doubt . And then the 206 B&S came along and killed off he KT100. Sad. Now B&S is chapter 11

ОтветитьI have a kt100 as well and it works perfectly, but when I put it on the floor it stops running and it doesn't starts rolling.
Does anybody know why?
I started lay down road racing with these engines I ran light and heavy classes at each event .
ОтветитьMost popular racing engine in Japan is KT100cc. Tends to get a bit sluggish on hot racing days after especially on the turns. Any way around this?
