Great video hunny. Love how you talked through the pieces. Given me inspiration to sort my wardrobe out. Xx
ОтветитьLoved this! I know you said you got it a while back but where was your white patterned dress 3/4 sleeves that you said you dug and wore a few weekends ago? It’s gorgeous xxx
ОтветитьWhere did you get your mac coat from please lovely? Xx
ОтветитьThis might be a little tip to avoid bad buys. I feel like you kinda go shopping for the sake of buying new things when you have unworn pieces in you wardrobe. I can relate because shopping makes you feel good and excited about all the new items. I love fashion and it is my creative outlet. But to avoid bad buys and be more sustainable, I make a list of maximum 10 items I can buy for each season. So for the autumn I want to buy a really nice chloé bag and a nice pair of boots. With the list in my mind I go (online) shopping.
ОтветитьAm sorry if am the only one thinking that this is extremely wasteful!
Ive never understood the mentality of ive worn it once I can't wear it again! I don't know about anyone else but I don't remember what everyone wears every I go out as long as there clean why does it matter. I have some clothes that are 12+ years old.
What a waste of money and just think of the impacted this horrible throw away attitude has in the planet. So sad!!
Really enjoyed watching this - love a longer video 😊 xx
ОтветитьAbsolutely love your hair in this video! looks so chic and classy! i desperately want my hair this length but i get married in 18months and want long curls! decisions decisions!!
ОтветитьMakes me sad to see lovely clothes being discarded so quickly, I hope they go to someone who will get some more wear out of them for longer.
ОтветитьYou are so wasteful! Most of that stuff still had tags on!
ОтветитьDon't you feel like you're wasting alot of your money when you purchase an item and only wear it once?
Ответитьor tailor it :)
Ответитьwow its so sad seeing beautiful clothes discarded because they have been worn once or twice. Surely if you like an item of clothing and it suits you then you just wear it till it starts to look worn! The worlds gone crazy x
ОтветитьIt’s awful that you are getting rid of things that you have bought and just never worn. It’s so bad for the planet. maybe think about what you buy and if you buy so many clothes buy from responsible companies not Primark.
ОтветитьYour hair is amazing you look great it suits you. We all have things in our wardrobe we don't wear much and I try to be ruthless wen I shop but there is always something so once a year I go through my clothes and my little girls and give what we don't wear to charity most of it's my daughters but couple of things are mine. Like to think they can be loved by someone else. Xx 👍
ОтветитьLove your hair just had mine cut off too, my wardrobe is the same always needs clearing out xx
ОтветитьShame on you for being so wasteful
ОтветитьHuge wardrobe declutter...gets rid of like 3 items🤔
ОтветитьLove declutter videos and how you spoke about each item. I do have to agree with what others have said though it does seem wasteful to only wear things once or twice. I understand in your job you do need to change things up regularly for posts etc but it did make me feel a little uncomfortable with what we now know about impact of fast fashion x
ОтветитьWould love you to do a charity shop haul
ОтветитьKate, I love you, your family and your videos. If something still fits and you like it, why don't you wear it till it falls apart? You can wear things year after year, nobody cares! You shouldn't buy new clothes when you don't need them e.g. similar items or just in case items. I understand that your job means you try new styles and can afford to be more frugal. This was said with love, but I do agree with the other critical comments! 💜
ОтветитьTime for new hangers. .... you did a great clear out. Thank goodness someone will benefit from your declutter.
ОтветитьWhy don't you take the things that don't fit to a tailor to be altered? To throw things out because the straps are long is insane, don't you own a needle and thread?
Ответить❤️ your hair x
Ответить“These H&M trousers dont really fit... I’ll keep them” hardly huge wardrobe declutter
ОтветитьPlease watch the movie "true cost" which is about the fashion industry!
ОтветитьYou obviously have far too many clothes to wear !! Such a waste !
ОтветитьJust a few months ago you did a video on having a clear out and wanting to have a more "capsule wardrobe with classic pieces". Clearly not!
ОтветитьRidiculous getting rid of all those clothes, some are still in the shops .. you could get years of wear yet from them.
ОтветитьWell done you, l need to do this. Marie kondo says does it spark joy? If not don’t keep it, someone else will love these. I always find it easier to sort the kids clothes than my own.
ОтветитьYour hair looks so beautiful, please could you do a hair tutorial? X
ОтветитьUnsubscribing, this video is so wasteful and irritating. You had a ‘huge clear out’ 3 months ago, and now another one? Absolutely ridiculous waste. It’s such a shame to see a so called ‘influencer’ being so flippant with money and purchasing fast fashion to just leave the tags on and ignore it after making £ doing a haul video out of it.
ОтветитьPlease try and be more responsible with your purchases, watch some Venetia Falconer videos for inspo about ending fast fashion
ОтветитьThey don't suit me = buys 20 pairs but they don't suit her, then she throws them away and buys 20 more...Completely idiotic approach
ОтветитьCould I ask how long ago u got the first dress from asos
ОтветитьI've worn it once mentality is very sad. Yes you are an influencer but in reality you are a Mum of two who isn't a super star and being papped every day (don't agree with that either but still) I don't know. Just seems so wasteful but I guess others gain by buying cheaper in charity shops so 🤷♀️
ОтветитьI think she does a Primark haul every month, say no more!
ОтветитьHi guys, I just wanted to address some of the comments as I’ve seen there’s quite a lot of negativity down here and I’m not really used to that as my channel comments always are such a lovely place!
I’ve watched the video back and want to apologise if I was a bit flippant about how I spoke about some of the items of clothing, saying I wore it once and now I’m getting rid of it etc. I wanted to explain again that when I say ‘get rid’ I do mean that it will be sold on Depop or given to charity so it isn’t going into the bin, it’s going to someone else so they can get use out of it. I realise I have more clothing than the average person, that’s due to this being my job. My fashion hauls are one of my most popular type of video, therefore I do consume more than the average person, which I’m not suggesting everyone does, just because I buy clothes to show what’s in the shops, doesn’t mean I expect everyone to buy every item. It’s to give you an idea of what’a available, I also return the majority of items to the shop. But I do keep some things and occasionally I’ll wear something a few times are realise it doesn’t suit my shape and I feel uncomfortable it it, therefore I know I won’t wear it again and it can be put to better use if someone else has it rather than just sitting in my wardrobe.
Saying all of that, I also don’t feel like I have as many items in my wardrobe as a lot of other people and I’ve been working over the last year to try and minimise what I have but compared to what I used too (if you watched my wardrobe tour from 2012
You would be shocked, I had a whole room of clothes and now I have a rail and a quarter of a wardrobe oh and a drawer!) I understand our views on fast fashion and climate change have changed considerably since I started my channel, I would never of had a comment about it 10 years ago and this is a good thing that it’s changing. I’m trying to learn and be more mindful of consumerism and the environment, I have many times in my wardrobe I do wear over and over again until they fall apart. Once again I apologise though if this video offended anyone, it definitely wasn’t my intention, I don’t think I deserve to be called disgusting though, and I hope I’ve cleared up a few things. Have a lovely day, Kate x
"I could possibly wear this one more time...." Wow. I didn't enjoy watching this at all. What a waste of a lot of nice clothes. Can you really not wear things that you love more than a few times?
ОтветитьFast fashion is killing the planet😭
ОтветитьI truly believe now more than ever in reduce, reuse and recycle and think it’s so important. To be fair to Kate she explained at the beginning of the video that she will be giving these beautiful things to charity and putting items on a depop shop. I myself would purchase some of these beautiful things on her shop if I wasn’t 8 months pregnant! I love her style, it’s similar to mine.🤰🏼 I’m expecting my first baby in a months time and am using mostly handed down baby clothes from family which are simply stunning and in perfect condition. ❤️ My husband and I are delighted and we’re saving money at the same time. The charity shops will be delighted with Kate’s clothes. Kate naturally vlogs about clothes and fashion so it might seem wasteful to some but she will naturally have more things then the average person. It’s due to the nature of her job. , I however don’t think it is wasteful because she is giving these things to a worthy cause, someone will be delighted with these things and they will be worn again. She’s not simply throwing them out. 🤷🏼♀️
ОтветитьThis makes me sad. Seeing so much being thrown away when it’s perfectly fine and some even new! Maybe think about buying less and make sure you get lots of wear out of your clothes before getting rid.
ОтветитьI used to always feel like I needed a new outfit for everything too!! Then I found a jumpsuit only from ASOS but was a lot more expensive than I would normally have bought and I just love it so much that I’m happy to wear it for EVERYTHING 😂 I think if you’re only happy to wear it once then you don’t love it enough to buy it 😉
ОтветитьI’m a serial outfit repeater and I’m proud of it! More people should be too! It’s better for the planet and for your wallet, it’s crazy how people feel like they can’t wear a piece or an outfit again because they’ve worn it once
ОтветитьIm so sorry but I've tried watching this video twice and it's just not working for me, im finding it boring, too long and yes unrelatable. I prefer your routine and day videos. You are looking fabulous though. X
ОтветитьNot sure why everyone saying she being wasteful or bad to the environment. Yeah I get it in a way but it's not like she's throwing it away in landfill, it's literally being either resold or going to charity. I do believe if you like something and it fits, then there is no problem in "over wearing" it
ОтветитьIt’s such a waste. It’s painful to see so many low quality clothes are throw away. Fast fashion is damaging our planet!!
ОтветитьThis is so disgusting, devastating and sad... not only am I a student but also my mom can’t work and so on and had to struggle to get some money at all... and now that I live alone and can’t work either I struggle too and I wish I had money for clothing, but I’m so grateful I was raised well and with love instead of money
ОтветитьYou know there are many people in this country who should be completely ashamed of themselves who own closets full of clothes they never wear or even take the tags off of millions of pounds of clothes go in dumps every year that will never be worn that will never degrade etc . An there are millions of our own people who cannot even afford to buy their food needs or medicines let alone clothes . Used to be you bought a quality pair of shoes an if something happened to them that could be fixed you took them to a repair shop or your clothes to a seamstress you made your things last an took care of what you had an appreciated what you had because you had to actually earn an work for it to get it an it actually had meaning for you . I’m speaking here of all of us as a society an a people . An there is something deeply wrong when we think the world owes us any an everything an it’s ok to throw out tons of never worn stuff an we don’t need to think of the consequences of waste. Even if we try to sell or give it away to be used by someone else we’ve still wasted many dollars a lot of time an there’s only so much others may want . So there’s a point of no return there too .
ОтветитьI always demote tops down to pyjamas!
ОтветитьYes ..some times I take my t-shirts and shirts that nolonger used outside and put it in the around the house pile..and thats actually is a smart idea to save you time and money
Ответить
