good topic, i enjoyed very much.
- for the monthly q&a, (before I asked if you could talk about 輕功?) If you don't plan on making a video about it, would you talk about it for the q&a?
very best wishes
thank you!
ОтветитьDear Sensei Yang; thank you for this important video, and answering my questions on this very important topic. For the Q&A video I dare to ask you two more questions on this issue. Are the lines in the illustrations representing external spiral movement of the harms, legs and torso? Or are they representing internal movement within those body parts? And are these lines denoting for specific positions of the movements or they are mere general illustration of the spiral movement without denoting on specific acupuncture points or specific body places in the body.
ОтветитьAgain, a very useful systematisation of knowledge already acquired. Thanks for that.
ОтветитьI've been analyzing this closely in my practice recently. I am so glad you decided to talk about it now so I can compare notes in real-time, haha!
ОтветитьExcellent breakdown awesome information
ОтветитьGreat lecture though I think you only scratched the surface but would be great to go more indepth into this topic.
Fro the Q&A: I have often heard that mens minds are Yang and their body is Yin. Womens minds are Yin and their body is Yang. Is it true that internal martial arts transforms a mans body to be more Yang and what will this effect be to have a Yang body as well as a Yang mind?
When will in person classes be available ?
ОтветитьHello master hai yang, amazing video as always.
For the next Q&A, I will like to askyou two questions about xingyi.
1. Which xing yi branch have less forms in his training program.
2. About the action of the spine when you send power out in tiger Hu Xing, you bow the spine when store power and unfold when you send power out?, or you do the opposite?
Thankyou very much.
Really interesting and difficult subject. Would it be possible for you to do a video in future to show the 4 types expanding ni/shun, contracting ni/shun chan from the Chen Style taichi form. Just to show the application of these 4 types of silk-reeling, please.
ОтветитьGreat talk!!! This info could save years of wasted effort. Could you elaborate in the future about fajing and silk-reeling as separate energies? I thought fajing was the explosive release of silk-reeling energy, instead of two different things that are better working together as I understood from the video. Thanks a lot for your dedication!!!
ОтветитьHi master Yang, I was wondering if you still teach baguazhang in montreal? If so, where can i find information about it?
ОтветитьMay I request a video on 老三拳? I've heard that they include 裹, 钻, and 剪, but would like to learn more about how they relate to the rest of xingyiquan. Thanks again for a great lesson!
ОтветитьHi Master Yang,
another great video, I enjoyed a lot this one, very clear explanations!!
Here is another buffet from which you could pick for the next Q/A if you want ;)
• Is the short frame Chen tai ji mainly different from the long frame in the amplitude and expression or movements, or are differences more fundamental such as different movements and routines.
• Are you aware if there exists a quality English translation of the Chen Xin book?
• In Xing Yi, it seems some people sometimes refer to Pi Chuan as splitting/chopping force (a bit like an axe). When I think about it (for instance in applications), I am under the impression it seems a bit more like a pressing force. Would it be possible to expand on this?
• You mentioned in earlier videos that the Xing Yi the 5 elements can be thought of the main building blocks on which other skills (such as 12 animals) are constructed, with for example Pi allowing to work on the general Xing Yi standing structure and Beng being very beneficial due to working on several circles simultaneously. For the three other elements, I was wondering if you could expand on why such techniques are considered more fundamental instead of being ones among the many different practices/skills of Xing Yi allowing to generate forces.
Thanks again,
Fred
Thank you for your teachings.
ОтветитьDear master, your knowledge in internal martial arts is truly admirable. Very grateful that you share it so generously. A cordial greeting.
ОтветитьThis is a very helpful video, thank you Master Yang
ОтветитьExcellent clear explanation.
Thank you
Also there is a 2 volume set of Chen Xin’s book in English.
The classification of shun&ni chan by Chen Xin and then later by check Dhakui is pretty confusing since they are both saying its opposite to each other.
It's confusing because Xin says Shun chan is as you have laid out in video where the thumb twists towards laogong to lead the energy outwards and for Ni chan the pinky twists towards laogong to lead energy inwards.
But Dhakui says its the opposite of what Chen Xin states. So how do we reconcile these classifications and when and how to use which?
By the way I remember MaHong in one of his old videos saying twisting little finger towards laogong is shun chan and twisting thumb towards laogong is shun chan. These classifications are confusing and is making me worried now in case I doing it wrong.
Are there English translations of these resources you reference?
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH. you have no idea how much you just helped me out trying to advertise Silk Reeling to americans
ОтветитьHave the book been translated to other language?
ОтветитьI am at awe. I will be eternally gratful to you for sharing all your immense knowledge with all if us.
ОтветитьThanks you very much for your enlightening information..
ОтветитьThank you for covering Chen Xin's masterful book. It is so deep. It has very much enhanced my understanding of Chen Tai Chi. I heard he went through much suffering in his life to complete the book?
