Very Nice video, better than most of the uploads bragging about 'slaying' a descent that were pretty timid. Typical UK roads but very interesting to see how much was going through the wheel/forks! What tyres/pressures were you using?

Probably not going to get as fast but another 60+mph run might be the A505 dual carriageway from Luton to Hitchin.

The downhill isn't epically long nor steep but its wide, you can get a decent drag from motor traffic, last time I rode on it a few years back the surface was okay as well.
Have hit 46mph circa 15 years ago and tbh it was probably as much to do with my non slender shape and using a Ridgeback genesis Day 02 flat bar limiting max speed. With my 100kg I wasn't going fast over the hump so a half decent rider would be going significantly faster at the top and be a whole lot more aero coming down.
As fast runs go I thought it was pretty safe and had done it a few times (out of neccessity), I just don't bother doing it on the racing machine as it was never a route I'd ordinarily cycle.

Exhilaratingly insane! What this video doesn't fully illustrate to those who don't know the hill is that the blind left hander, with camber, is at the bottom of the hill and so the fastest point.The slightest misjudgement and you're into the path of oncoming traffic! So it's not just the speed but where it's been achieved.

Excellent idiocy! First time I went over 100kph was by accident in Patterson pass road race. Was disconnected by 100 feet or so cresting the top, jammed it down. When I got home and downloaded the race I was shocked and vaguely remembered thinking during the race "I am going very very fast". Nutty speed. Nice work.

I must recommend telegraph hill in devon, a dual carriageway 1 mile at 10% and cars give you that extra draft. Have hit 100kph into a headwind before down there.

I've been out towards 60 mph and felt the bike getting the shimmies but 75 mph is waaay out there. Plums indeed.
