You use a stabilizer. You suck.
ОтветитьArchery is a new hobby of mine, and I go to a nearby pro shop. I have a six week lesson session coming up. I am very new to archery. It is clear that I want to get the Samick Sage recurve, but I do not know what draw weight I should get. I am a 13 year old boy, weighs approximately 105 pounds. I don't know if I have a lot of "upper body strength", but I am on a swim team and can swim pretty fast. Please guide me on what draw weight I should buy. Also, I am looking for 30 inch carbon arrows for the Samick Sage. Any suggestions? Thanks!
P.S. @Danel Wilks Reviews The quiver you have is very nice and good looking. If you can, please send me or post the link of where you got it. Thanks!
I love my Sage, too.
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьWhat is the best way to grip your Samick sage to shoot accurately
ОтветитьGreat video thanks. If I may make a slight critique? You mentioned you have been shooting compound bows for years, I am assuming like most people, you use a release. Now that you are shooting recurve bows instinctively you have changed to a glove. Again this is all an assumption on my part. If I may make a suggestion, on your arrow release grip, you need to place your index finger above the arrows nock. If you are a smoker, the grip on the string is exactly how you would hold a cigarette in between your index and middle finger and your third finger grips the string while your pinky is off string (three fingers grip). By placing your index finger below the nock you are not putting even tension on the limbs and that can throw off your arrows flight. Most of this is being said for other viewers as I see this was published some time ago so I guess you have gotten all the bad habits corrected by now :) Again thanks for the video, I am looking to pick up one of these for my son :)
ОтветитьHmm I would say 400s are too stiff for the draw weight you're shooting. I have 31 inch 400s (I was told they were 400s anyway) that I bought pre-owned but like new and they bareshaft tuned too stiff out of a 50 pound super mag 48 using 125 grain points and my draw length is approximately 29 inches - 29 and a half inches.
ОтветитьThat arrow you fixed might be fine for this bow, but I would advise not to shoot it out of a compound. Carbon arrows can explode if they are damaged, and carbon splinters HURT
ОтветитьThanks for the video. looking to start my archery training with this bow. subscribed
Ответитьcan somebody tell me if this is a good bow for bow fishing?
Ответитьcould I use this bow if I am 5 ft tall and my draw length is 23 in
ОтветитьHow do you aim it without sights? That's impressive.
Ответитьwhat's best split finger or three under style?
ОтветитьDaniel, great video!! Have a Samick Sage, 40#, 62 inches, left hand. My arrows group is 4-7 inches right where I am aiming (I shoot gap method aiming with the point of the arrow). I am shooting with 600 spine carbon arrows. Should I use different spine? What do you recommend to fix that deviation? How do you aim? Thank you.
ОтветитьIs the bow that you have a right handed or left handed bow?
ОтветитьHi what kind of quiver you have ?
ОтветитьI have a bow just like that but it is impossible to string!
ОтветитьGreat vid mate.I totally agree with you.Great bow for anyone.Ive had this bow back in the 90s and I've currently purchased another. For me and one for my better half.
ОтветитьWhat does the stabilizer do for your shooting?
ОтветитьWhat do you use as a target?
ОтветитьAnd the name of the knot for the string is?
ОтветитьIf you REALLY want to do instinctive archery, take the stabilizer off.... great video anyways
ОтветитьGreat review!
Ответитьis 40pounds draw hard ? to pull
Ответитьhow much prices.it's can delivery to Bangladesh.. I wants to buy.
ОтветитьLol fucking looser
ОтветитьThe 3rd generation Tigershark was actually a better deal in Australia, than what they sell the Sage for here, only by an extra $20AU per bow, and that's including $120AU postage from US. Sage has been long ago superseded by the Spyder, then the Tigershark. Sage is a bit more 'box-like' in it's finish shape, whereas gen 2 and 3 are more rounded, and some say more comfortable risers to handle. These are a take-down bow, and those limb bolts are meant to come in and out for portability. Gluing them in defeats the purpose of having a bow as such, and in not necessary. Some of the Sage Bows were too tight at the butt end of the limb, and the bolt difficult to thread in, but this is easily resolved by passing the bolt through the limb, and starting the thread before putting the limb down into it's cradle. I found the two Tigersharks I have don't have this issue. Thing coming out of China can be inconsistent sometimes.
ОтветитьI just picked mine up yesterday!
ОтветитьThanks for a great review with all the important info on arrows and head weight.
Ответитьi enjoy this video
ОтветитьI've never seen a man take an arrow out of a back quiver and not look gay.
ОтветитьMaybe think about an arrow spine closer to 450 with a 45 lb. But I have the the same bow at 60 lb and honestly the extra weight is much better for my shot constancy, especially at 35 yds. You seem to be a good shot so early on in traditional archery, so the added weight would be even better for you. Then a 400 spine would be perfect.
ОтветитьOnly been shooting 2 weeks?hummmm!I couldn't hit the target at 2 weeks at 18 yards.well done!
ОтветитьReally nice no nonsense video. I wish more folks could make review videos this good! Awesome job, thanks for taking the time to make this.
ОтветитьLove my samik,
ОтветитьHow much does sammick sage recurved bow cost but my budget 60$
ОтветитьShould I start with a 35-40# bow? I hear not to start too high of a draw weight with a recurve
ОтветитьIs that the regular Sage or the Same premier?
ОтветитьGood shooting I'm definitely gonna get a samick
ОтветитьCan you put sight and stabiliser on at same time? Enough holes for accessories? Thanks
ОтветитьThis was my first bow back in 1989. Im currently shooting a satori and a dorado both 60lb and i also have a 60lb samick sage which is an awsome bow to hunt with. Ive taken deer pigs dingo scrub bulls and many other animals with the samick sage. Its a keeper in my collection for sure. 30 years bow hunting and i highly recomend the sage for beginers and people who have been shooting as long as i have.I love this bow. Great review brother.
ОтветитьHow do like having the stabilizer vs without it?
ОтветитьGood Shooting
ОтветитьVery detailed explanation of the bow and accessories, well done 👏
ОтветитьNice shooting for 2 weeks traditional, wow..
ОтветитьYou still shooting?
ОтветитьNewby here, just bought a 35# sage I must say it's lighter than I thought it would be which is great.
Will also get 45# limbs eventually when I am happy with my form on the 35# .
I also play guitar and have several high end expensive ones ($1k to 2k) but my favourite costs $120 So I think it Will be much the same with bows as in you probably will shoot just as good with a sage as you would with a more expensive bow or at least feel more comfortable with it.
But like my guitar fettish I'll probably end up buying a Bear or something. 😂
Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell? Follow Jesus and be saved
