i finished the anime two days after my grandfather died and these moments about life and death hit different than usual

Death Parade is truly a masterpiece of an anime

I ship them but i don't want them to have that sappy romance bs. They good as friends. I l9ve watching some animes and they have a bond of friendship that give couples vibes but actually aren't ones i just love that. Some of yall are mad and don't know what i meant but i have a feeling yall wouldn't agree with me.

I am literally bawling my eyes out. Watched this anime three times already and I will do it again without a doubt.
I am just so amazed by Chiyuki being such a true-to-life character, regretting what she did but still not pressing the button. Her inner conflict is so hard to watch and I loved every second of it. Decim would've never understood these deep human emotions, not confined by logic, if it wasn't for her.
Death Parade was also the only anime I ever watched with my mom and she started crying even more than I did. The sorrow I feel for both, Chiyuki and her mother, is inexplicable. I never thought an anime could let me feel so much grief but here I am. Truly a masterpiece.

This anime is so fucking good, I can't avoid cry seeing this, where are you, second season?

Decim is very pretty when you see both of his eyes☝️😌

I love that sadness absolutely destroys him whereas humans can feel it and act as if all is fine.

Aww you missed the part where she pulls back from the hug to brush his hair out of his face and cups his cheeks🥺 that part really made me happy/sad bc of her trying to show her affection and support toward him by comforting him even when she was hurting too😭💔

I feel so sad for him 'cause the first emotion he experienced was sorrow.

Some positive view: he kept her mannequin next to him knowing well, that she was reborn somewhere

To me personally this was the saddest thing ever to watch. This anime hit so many points that was my definition of true sorrow and sadness... I cant remember crying that much over a series/anime. So i recommended it to a few friends and what I dont understand is that they didnt find it so sad or cried.

Me Watching just this one Szene 7 years later: Fuck you anime to make such an good impression that a start crying the second i see Decim.

Seeing an emotionless guy cry like that is what makes it more impactful and just makes us break into tears

I think that there's a good reason why Decim doesn't have emotions. He has responsible over people's lives and afterlife. If he had emotions, it would drive him crazy over time.

The last two episodes of death parade are two of the best episodes of an anime I think I’ve ever seen. This moment along with the ice skating scene turned this show from great to a straight up masterpiece

This episode kicked my ass omg it was so emotional

I made it through this entire scene without shedding a tear (after much effort), but you wanna know what finally got me? Seeing Chiyuki's mannequin sitting serenely next to Decim's bar. The culmination of their time spent together, and the knowledge that, despite Decim loosing his memories of her, Chiyuki's last lesson stuck with him. He now greets his guests with a smile.


Imma go curl up on the couch now, because just thinking about this wonderful show has my eyes misting.

I cried so freaking hard cuz my sister tried to k!ll herself so this hits hard...

what kills me is when he expieriences feeling, he clutches his chest like hes having a heart attack, but its just the burden of sorrow that hes feeling for the first time. it broke me.

This scene was WHOLESOME to another level...✨️🌌

I remember watching this moment and sobbing. No other anime or infant any book or movie has ever made me cry that hard. I am an emotional person and someone who can cry at the drop of a hat but I can recover from that grief quickly. But something about this scene…..I don’t know….i feel like I saw another version of myself in her- a future or a path I would have taken if I had gave in to THAT urge

dang i just finished this today, and man it was really good ngl but the ending was deppresing like example this scene where decim cried and felt emotions, and the ending where chiyuki finally has to say goodbye, and this maybe be off topic but does anyone notice that decim fell in love with chiyuki?
