My humidifier has the blue check mark on constantly and it not work anymore. I’ve tried unplugging for 20 mins and everything. Please advise. I’ve only used it for a week

why the hell do moron product designers not make the heating element REMOVABLE like the other pieces? no one can reach down into the unit to scrub this thing we either have to half-ass it or disassemble the whole unit and worry about the seals. i clicked this video excited i might actually find a sane warm mist humidifier, but no, this one is just as stupid as the HWM340 which is also impossible to descale without disassembly. the HWM705 is better since the upper chamber comes off, but it has no humidistat!

Do you guys refurbish and repackage them for sale at retailers? I got one of these of a similar model a few months ago. And when I opened it there was like a hockey puck shaped chunk on top of the heating element. And because of the shape I thought it was supposed to be part of it. But the more I used it, the more the chunk started breaking down until it started to crack. Then I started get the reset light a lot. The manual to troubleshoot didn't show a lot of detail. It wasn't till I watched this video that I realized there was something wrong. Some how it came with a huge chunk of minerals on it already. The box wasn't one that was returned cause it wasn't resealed.

Any idea when you will be getting more of the ALL BLACK model for sale in Canada? This is the only color scheme I want, all black, not the almost all black with grey top.

vinegar does a very poor job of removing the scale even with brushing. This is after only 1 week of 8hr/day operation. Way too much trouble. It looks like I will be switching to distilled water or another type of humidifier

Is it possible to use citric acid instead of vinegar? Also is it necessary to use bleach with each descaling?

I'm curious, is descaling necessary or need to be done as frequently when using distilled water? I don't see any scaling when using distilled but I still do the process.

Manual said should take about a minute to heat and run. I’ve been waiting for about 5 minutes and still not running. Suggestions?

Watching her stick her arm in the humidifer to replace the water level float really wasn't very helpful.

If we only use a couple times a week, or per month, weekly isn't needed. More accurate info would be, after how many USES should we clean?

I love this humidifier guys, just bought a new one. I had the older model for a few years, until the heating element got so damaged that it leaked into the electronics below it and damaged it...but it's really a great humidifier. Most important thing is we do not have to keep changing very expensive filters (have one of your other humidifiers that need an E filter, along with a protec which is so expensive - costs as much as a new humidifier to operate it in winter).
Question: always had an issue with cleaning the heating element, it's such a hassle frankly. Water is not that hard here in Quebec i think, but still I have accumulations. I know you show cleaning it with a soft brush, but isn't there some other sort of tool one can use that make it easier? It's extremely hard to reach the lower part of the heating element especially with a brush...

I wish Honeywell would design a completely flat heating element. Yes, the diameter will have to be larger but it will be so much easier to de-scale.

I'm curious, I have 2 that I bought both within the last 3 days. On both of them the first time they ran fine. I only have used distilled water, they are securely sitting on a flat surface, the inside parts are securely fastened and in their correct position.......YET today on day 3 I can't either one of them to produce steam for more than 10 mins before the red reset light comes on. 1. YES the tanks are full. 2. NO, they are overfilled. 3. Yes, I only put water in the tank reservoir ; not the heating element area. 4. Yes, I know how to reset (turn off, unplug, wait at least 5 minutes, plug back in, turn on). I am an engineer. I follow directions to the letter and I keep things clean. WHY ARE THE RESET LIGHTS GOING ON AFTER A FEW MINS ON BOTH OF THESE !!!????? PISSED!

The heating element cover DOES NOT come off this easy. I've yanked on that thing like crazy it it doesn't move. Could there be something blocking it?
