These tiny home videos are extremely deceptive and only show the good points. After researching the tiny homes and also combing thru review and comments from owners, I would say you are extremely lucky if you can secure a really nice looking one, an above average quality build built in a timely manner or one that comes in any where near budget. You will most likely get a sloppy, amateur built building that is far less than what you thought it would be and pay much more than expected for a home which likely will take two or three times the promised completion time. Most likely you will be very disappointed unless you build it yourself.

All this looks good, it is very enticing; picturesque... How much do they cost? Bottom line, flat out what is the cost of a permanent tiny home, well insulated, with/without green technologies/ batteries , no cutting corners or cheeping out on materials compared to traditional single/family homes?

Its all well and good until you gotta cough up the funds. Bigger upfront costs? How about maintenance, short term long term? What are the figures? The facts. The hard science.

Very nice! - Sorry to report however: A new label for a well understood neurosis is certain to follow tiny house trends- mice studies of the 50s illustrated the dire consequences of living in dense populations - that study Transfered over to human models and has shown again and agAIN to be equally detrimental - all the smiles and conserving of $ will certainly fall out of favor once the suffering of failed relationships and neurotic children comes to light that is certain to follow. Its OK for awhile for a couple, but never ever a family- Don't be fooled by all the hype- ... Considerable regret is certain for all but a hermit - think for a minute- there's a reason why this kind of construction is uncommon

I have a 1200 square foot home that could be converted to a tiny home. I would like to know more about heating and cooling used in these homes and also different ways people cook.

Are shipping container homes sustainable? Meaning do they last long? I can't imagine having to replace an entire container due to rust.

Seems that this is the expensive, unaffordable, larger, luxury for snobs. NOT for regular people who cannot afford such ridiculousness.
I miss what this channel stood for, and educated folks about. Seems how this channel started, is gone forever, as people have sold their souls for the high maintenance of upper class and the wealthy.
Not everyone can put the ridiculous, gawdy, high priced luxury into a Tiny Home.
I wish this channel would get back to BASICS. But it seems those days are gone.

Considering the homeless situation, worldwide, this channel has begun to slap the people who cannot spend this kind of money on ridiculousness and unrealistic ideations of a home....tiny or not.

Why are these called "tiny"?

This Tiney house movement is so dumb. They have had small, affordable single wide 12X20 Mobile ( Trailor ) homes for more then 50 years. lol

Tiny homes can become the next big thing because of expensive mobile homes and gas prices. Tiny homes can be more profitable for governments instead of mobile homes with gas.

I’ve been following the tiny house movement for a good ten years & am becoming more & more convinced that it has the potential to save the world from the environmental, social & political upheaval we’re currently experiencing.
