This might be helpful: F log is less sharp than any of the film sims if you use the same sharpness value on both. The film simulations still have a little bit of sharpening on them even if you set the sharpness on -4. HLG is also sharper. I tested this on my X-T3 and I can imagine that it's the same on H2s.

Fuji should be thankful. They get to say their AF is so much better than the Leica SL3. Ask me how I know. 😢

I never see the pop on the fuji lenses. Especially on the X100 series. They are flat af but its a different kind of look. Its not Viltrox level flatness.

Side rant: the Fuji had pretty bad stepping auto-exposure. Stick to manual in the future, if possible. Thanks!

I think you probably know this, but you can set your Fuji to focus quicker. Maybe you have it set at the default now when you may want to be using the faster tracking option.

Fuji did not have good tonality compared to the Nikon, looked like small sensor stuff lol. Also seems that Fuji lens has way more depth of field but was over sharpened af. I still like Fuji though.

The Fuji picked up the lines on the halftone areas of your shirt the Nikon blurs out - made me wonder if it lacks a low-pass filter vs. the Nikon. Not a good combo with the line-skipping evident in the Fuji slo-mo video. Nikon 240p FTW.

Nikon best decision was change from F mount to Z mount. Physics can't be cheated. Full Frame is superior to ASP-C.

pathetically, the only pathetic selling point for the fujifilm is the pathetic film simulation.

Mission: to recreate Fuji colors (not the red face obviously) using lut's/whatever, with better auto-focusing cameras.

Man there was something about some of those shots that POPPED off the screen - (not necessarily sharpness, even though that 35/1.4 is SHARP), more like a "clarity", plus the colors, plus maybe lack of noise (doesn't make sense but don't know how else to say it).

There was just something "real" about some of those images. Quite striking.

One more thing missing from Nikon - characterfull lenses with aperture rings. Except 40f2 and maybe 28f2.8 I didn't find any in Nikon lineup. Yes, I can adapt but its quick fix, not solution. I need more magic, Nikon!

Fuji looks like you are slimey, can it not handle skin tones at all. Also your skin hue looks more salmon and patchy. I prefer the less crunchy tonality and sharpness of Nikon. Nikon is much more natural, although maybe either warm up the reds or shift your white balance to green by a point. Both are too red. 😂

I have an XT5 but I'm tempted by some of the deals on the Z6III at the moment. I'm hoping the next firmware will make the Fuji more reliable for AF given how long they have been working on it but it may be too little too late at this stage.

Have you tried downgrading firmware to 1.03 much better' many of us fuji pows are have downgraded and saiting for this november 8.0 firmware as last chance before mass selloff of fuji. Btw that lens is okay for photos only maybe, the 60 f2.4 macro is more mavical renderi g and significantly worse autofocus

The Fuji 35mm is ancient, almost 10 years older then the Nikon 40mm. The one lens everybody knows is focusing too slow in video.

The segment of YOU and the outdoor fountain was beautiful, with the Fuji and the 35mm F 1.4 using Reala Ace. I adored the Toronto street segment with the Nikon and the EF 85mm F 1.2. There is no was way you should camera the two cameras because you are comparing the 85MM F 1.2 to a 35MM 1.4 . One is a short telephoto lens and the other is a Standard lens. Please put the Canon EF 85mm lens on the Fujhi XH2S and lets see how it looks!! You set up the Toronto street comparison for FUji to fail and you succeeded in you click bait video. Bad HOBO!! Please do it again, maybe this time a 4k 120 so there is not so must of a push in. Thanks.

Fujifilm has lost its way.. heading to the wrong direction

The nikon blew fuji away on the cinema experience. I would say to be fair thay the fuji 35mm 1.4 was made for photos not for video. Many people say the 35 1.4 is far from amazing or the best. Of course the autofocus is terrible though. I dont experience this with my 18 1.4 or 56 1.2WR.

I've been eyeing the Nikon Z6 iii for a few weeks. Prolly gonna trade in my Fuji XT4 and glass and jump to the z6 iii (or keep the XT4 body and one lens, and get the Nikon too).
