Patek has to be the ultimate dress watch in my limited experience. Just recently tried on a white gold world time and a rose gold annual calendar. Amazing experience. I get it now. 😍

You have to see it next to Patek’s annual calendars to decide. It’s not easy. Also there is a nicer version of the Lange Annual without the big date.

Just one thing to note, coming from a German, it's called Glas-Hütte and not Glash-Ütte ;)

The perfect dress watch is the Patek 5196P. Simple, manual wind, clean dial, what more could you want in a dress watch.

Gorgeous watch, great show! I went on the ALS website last year, and ordered their catalogue! Was shocked when I received it...they sent me the most beautiful book! These watches are works of art T! I love these and the Glasshute Senator...I have Patek taste and Casio money though 😂

Sorry but it is way to big on your wrist as a "luxury dress watch". I might be old fashioned but it doesnt look elegant or classy this size for you rather like a flashy fashion watch. Not to blame L&S as this size can fit larger wrist guys perfectly, but for your wrist it should be smaller.

a. lange & söhne, in my opinion, produces the most impressive watches today. i think, the datograph perpetual tourbillion is the best watch of the 21. century

I am a proud owner of a Lange 1 Moonphase. It is a beautiful timepiece. I can support TGV‘s statements a 100%. The real star of the show of any A. Lange & Söhne is the movement. The only down side is that the crown is indeed a little bit flimsy and hard to handle. Thank you for another great video TGV!

Dream dress watch, period.

Another well-considered bit of feedback from TGV: one of your critiques about the watch is that it's not 50m water resistant - even if it were, I hope you realise that the leather strap isn't water resistant anyway. Best of luck in in finding a suitable high end dress watch for your next visit to the swimming pool.

For me personally, it would be Lange hands down given the choice of it or a Patek. The Lange design I find a bit more appealing, more balanced. The finishing of the parts and the superb craftsmanship displayed in the watch as a whole is exquisite. I guess a bit of a snob comes out too, as I'm impressed that Lange produces a fraction of the number of watches as does Patek in a year, and both are small compared to the 800-pound gorilla in the room, Rolex.

Beautiful shots of my hometown, Philadelphia, including the Billy Penn statue on top of City Hall, the Art Museum and Ben Franklin Boulevard. Also, beautiful watch 😉 Seriously, that is probably the timepiece I’d buy as my dress watch if my budget were unlimited… it’s a work of art.
