Google is planning layoff and have been freezing for a while they just disguised it like they were considering candidates. Are you guys stupid or what?
ОтветитьIf you live in America, work for a private healthcare company
ОтветитьPOV it’s April 8th 2024, and the fed just pivoted
ОтветитьSuccessful slaves being laid off
ОтветитьHow many layoffs for FTX?
ОтветитьI dont care if its not advertiser friendly, add microsoft in there and use FAGMAN as the acronym.
Ответитьjust when you think that this decade cannot possibly get any worse... and we're still at the beginning
ОтветитьWhat was all that eclipse talk about?
ОтветитьLunar eclipse? This is the dumbest explanation ever.
ОтветитьAye im in the mews mom.
ОтветитьMy company does not have any layoff. Works in supply chain related IT product.
Safe 🤣
You got something VERY wrong. It's correct to assume that small companies are not going to hire much after major downsizing. It is wrong to do the same for massive companies with MULTIPLE product lines like FAANG. People should CONTINUE to apply to all of these companies and continue to check for new job postings. Yes. NEW job postings are guaranteed for even Twitter. Don't make false assumptions that reduce the breadth of your opportunities.
ОтветитьI'm a software developer, but in a port.
ОтветитьJust wait 10 years from now when the next wave of 16-22 year olds hit the market to sell them on the big next app phenomenon: ButtBook
ОтветитьPeople, just because something can be explained with a triangular image, it doesn't mean it is a Ponzi Scheme. A company not making enough money to sustain it's payroll is bad, but it's not a scam.
ОтветитьThis was bound to happen when companies do over-hiring, since what was the point of hiring so many developers last year when they were the first to be laid off this year.
ОтветитьFAANG is MAANG now 😂
ОтветитьTLDR: If you are an actual programmer and not a liberal data sciences major you're gonna be more than fine... LOL
ОтветитьThose programmers who are laid off, can easily band together and open their own company. With all their knowledge and experience can most likely rival big companies.
ОтветитьThe eclipse jokes lololol
ОтветитьThey needed de devs to build, now the services need only maintenance so screw the devs, the peoduct that you build will be making money for a stupid businessman that dont know how to write one line of code, but you keep searching for a job again and again and again
ОтветитьThey want to shove social media back into the box it came out of. A less appreciated reason for all of this.
ОтветитьThis is a lie. Most people fired were doing socialism or censoring and are really not needed. Sooner or later every big company lays off workers they do not need. We all went through it.
Ответитьjeff, i enjoy your coding videos but not sure about your financial analysis. a 52% drop in net income for meta does not mean they are "going to be fine" (esp when combined with their stock value dropping almost a trillion dollars (over 70%) in the past year.
ОтветитьImagine only listening to the first and last 30s of the video to listen to the conclusion and finding out that tech industry is just basically institutionalized voodoo magic.
ОтветитьWhat’s the demographic of layoffs? I.e what % of layoffs are actually tech workers (not HR/operations etc)
ОтветитьThankfully, I don't work for leftwing lunatics so my tech job is secure.
ОтветитьAffirm, Upstart, and Carvana are all in trouble because of their own loan practices. Especially Carvana.
ОтветитьGood developers with experience will always be in demand. Whether you are just starting out or seasoned industry vet, it is vital that you are constantly working on skills development and have a personal portfolio that can demonstrate those skills.
ОтветитьNow I want to write a python script matching solar and lunar events to the S&P 500 Information Technology Index.😀
Ответитьpersonally i want the Paradigm to shift no not crypto
Ответитьplease don't make it your main goal to work for faang
ОтветитьWas any of that sarcasm?
Ответитьi am a new grad with a bs in comp sci and finding a job right now is near impossible for me...
ОтветитьPeople with knowledge of the matter have confirmed that multinational e-commerce and tech giant Amazon will be laying off 20,000 of its employees, including top managers, data scientists, software engineers and other corporate workers.
The unnamed sources also disclosed that the employees were ranked from level 1 to level 7, and staff at all levels will likely be affected. They also said that managers were instructed to identify work performance problems among employees as part of the retrenchment effort. Twenty thousand workers are the equivalent of about six percent of corporate staff and about 1.3 percent of the company’s 1.5 million workforce, which includes the global distribution center and hourly workers.
Well companies need a lot of developers who are different kind of individuals. There are some top talent who does much much more work than others, but there are also some people who might good at some things and bad at other things. I see some people who are very valuable to the company but they are completely oblivious to security, then I see other people who are great coding and backend programming but completely oblivious to user interface and experience. It is good to have a mix of different people.
ОтветитьTo me that looks more like they just cleaned the House. Watch a couple "Day in my life at Twitter" Vlogs and all questions will be answered as to why they lay them off.
ОтветитьStartups are a Ponzi scheme?
Hmmmmm
Yes!
The funniest part is the part about it all just being moon cycles.
The truest part is the part about it all just being moon cycles.
I'm 100% sure FAANG is FAANG only because they tried to avoid "FAAG". Netflix doesn't belong in the same category as the other ones. Include Spotify, though.
ОтветитьGoogle is gonna layoff 12.000 employees. So the G is out too
ОтветитьWith the latest round of layoffs I think it's a good reminder to look in other industries that aren't specifically tech related (logistics, healthcare, Retail, Agriculture, etc.). There are tons of good developer jobs out there that don't fit into the FAANG portfolio, but will still pay well and have much better job security. I believe these roles are especially great for junior developers as I've found they are far more willing to work with you and invest in your growth as a developer.
ОтветитьThese gang companies have been holding good talent hostage for too long. Why would anyone want to work at Facebook, apart from the compensation and food?
ОтветитьGood time for me to graduate…
ОтветитьWhat is DART?
Django,
AWS,
React,
Tailwind
Javascript devs are fcked
ОтветитьApril 8, 2024 is coming...
ОтветитьYo it’s April 8th 2024, where’s my pay check.
