I just downloaded once human before bed tonight. Gonna try it when i get home tomorrow ive heard good things. Has alot of active players run on steam at 1 a.m too so must ve doing something right

On one hand, I think it’s hilarious the sponsor of this video is world of tanks. That game is so insanely pay to win. I won’t even give it the time of day. Go read any real review of it from people who’ve put time into it. The progression is insanely p2w. So, honestly, fuck that game and that company.

Nah man this ain't it. Spending half the video grand standing about f2p games while promoting world of tanks. This puts everything you talk about in the skewed light for the whole video.

NO. Once Human is actually a decent experience. It's a great start compared to other generic older games that were bad, and were way overrated (day z) (7 days to die) etc.
Once Human as of now has plenty of content and things to do but it's clear it's still a work in progress.

This video alone has a WHOPPING 26 ads not including the Corporate Sponser (WOT).... So kinda removes every wind out of the sails... Special thanks to my boyfriend who pointed it out since I run specific things to prevent ads lmao. If no one has a problem with Acti-Blizzard (Formerly Activision and Blizzard, now one company) or RIOT Games then no one should really have an issue with any other company with Chinese ownership. shrug TenCent has their fingers in everyon-- Everything... and they all love the USD more than anything else. Buckle up buttercups, it's gonna be a bumpy ride for the next 10 years of Game Development. Especially with the AI and their Rampancy (Halo edition, not popularity, look up halo AI rampancy) becoming an issue already....

These are solid criticisms. But i will say that i do generally have fun with once human. It is a really janky game but the gameplay mechanics has actually been very enjoyable for me.

Loved playing through one season of Once Human. Transferred my character and a few items to a new server, and completely stopped playing. I still enjoyed it, but nothing makes me want to go back.

I also played about a month of The First Descendant and had a lot of fun with that too. Farmed myself a couple of the Ult characters then stopped playing because it was really specific grinding to squeeze out a little extra DPS. I also grinded for 5 of the ultimate skins and only have about 40 hours in the game, so its not the worst grind ever. The waiting mechanics for crafting is awful though.

Never spent a penny on either of these games, but the one and only thing that got me close was seeing that after farming for hours for an ultimate character, you have to wait over 20 hours to craft the parts and the character.

I really don't know who are these people that are getting hyped over Once Human and The First Descedant, have they played any games, ever?

I've played a lot of Once Human only really because I can't work at the moment due to medical stuff and I needed an "easy" type game to play that's free. I play a lot of Minecraft as well and for me this was sort of like a melding of Minecraft/SCP/Left4Dead sort of thing and I found it intriguing.

I did try the other one but I got like...just into the tutorial but...naw...naw I couldn't.

Thats why i avoid free to play all together

I really do not understand people calling Jack a hypocrite or saying it is ironic that he took a WoT sponsorship for this video. WoT simply cannot be compared to these games. (Ive been playing since 2011) Jack also brings up some really good subjects such as how the companies making these games are Chinese and they are aggressively buying out competition (by way of CCP funding). Keep doing you Jack, stay awesome!

Hi! TFD enjoyer here I just want to point out the comment you showed in this video claiming it would take 200+ hours for a single ultimate descendant is incredibly inaccurate. I have 400 hours on the game and have every single ultimate descendant in the game WITHOUT spending a single dollar on the game, if we assume the "200+ hours" comment you showed was at all accurate that would put me at 1400 hours. Also the monetization being "20x that of warframe" is just wrong in WF you can buy literally EVERYTHING with money and if you want to have every single gun in the game you have to spend around 11 THOUSAND platinum (premium currency) for just weapon slots unless you delete a ton of guns after levelling them...
Btw I'm not trying to defend or attack anything here just comparing and correcting.

I feel like Destiny & Destiny 2 did irreparable damage to the gaming landscape. Making it acceptable to dump a TON of meaningless word salad on the player, to be explained later.

Just listening to you talk about the macro transactions killed me. To be fair, micro transactions turn me off from games all the time. This is why I don't play f2p.

i, for one, enjoyed once human and didn't find the MTX predatory. however, i uninstalled TFD in the first week of playing cuz it was not fun that in addition to its horrific MTX made it absolutely unattractive.
i think free to play games are a hard line to walk but i think once human did a decent job at it.

As someone who has hours on once human, i can confirm that yes, the game is really bad(it attempted to send me on a "spooky" quest that attmepted to jumpscare with a t-posing scarecrow that floated towards me), but its too damn addicting😶

I just keep asking myself, if everyone is discouraging about the season reset why the devs are still not taking any steps? This reset is just making some players quit the game for good and as a free to play game, must say that once human is really good and has a great potential. The devs should really consider their user's request.

I don't know if we should start buying Christians guys, they're people too.
