Why do small towns in flyover country refer to themselves as "cities" and even take the charade so far as to elect "mayors"? Hey Middle America, a municipality under 50,000 population should never be made a city unless it's the only population centre in the middle of nowhere. Small municipalities should be called a town, and governed via open meeting or a board of selectmen.
