Not sure if you already have something like this planned, but I'd love to watch a video that's kind of an overview of why you're doing this, what you can do with it, some uses you might have planned, etc. Just to give it all some context for those of us not so into it.
(or not, they're already super-interesting as is!)

When you add the external crystal is there a setting to specify it? I am trying to find a setting for the esp32 when programing with Vscode with platformio.

Ok im late to the game but I am very curious what your board was hooked up to while it was being drilled (the bottom right blue cable)? was that a grounding cable? did you get shocked in the past?

Trying to solder anything less wide than a 2.5mm standard pin width like an Arduino Nano, is where we part company Robin. I don't want any part of that tiny stuff I can't even see. I'd be afraid I might accidentally swallow a resistor that got stuck to my finger while eating something. I can barely do the 2.5 mm width traces. That SMD stuff looks super natural to me.
