The GameRevolution article was very unprofessional, but the first article was a complete joke. This game doesn't have a lot of 2d platforming like the ClAsSiCz? iT sUcKz!!
Sonic Advance 2 and 3 are a fest of botomless pits after harmless springs, while Adventure has levels designed for 3 different gameplay styles and still work, yet one is good and the other's bad. Wut.

Gaming Journalism is a complete utter joke honestly. I don't see how some people are still following them. They can't get information right, they flip flop their opinions to fit in with the crowd, they can't handle when people call out on their bullshit, & the worse offence of all, they suck at gaming in general.

THESE ARTICLES ARE THE WORST ARTICLES EVER MADE! They called S.A1,S.A2 & sonic unleashed bad games! The adventure games were good,and unleashed was amazing! AND THEY WERE ON CRACK OR SOMETHING BECAUSE THEY CALLED SONIC FORCES THE BEST SONIC GAME OF ALL TIME! that game wasn't bad,but it also wasn't good. Its was just...okay. and the first article has that stupid "sonic had a ruff start in 3D"cliché.

I personally have something to admit,I only recently played the adventure games(first time btw) and I don't see how they're bad,sure sonic's control can be twitchy(especially in adventure 2)and big was kind of stupid,The games were both solid and a fun experience,I I did find myself getting pissed at some treasure hunting stages in sa2 especially with the worse radar but it was fun(except for mad space ,shit took me 20 mins) and I don't see how the writing is cheesy,it's actually very good if you use the japanese voices and the voice acting and the animations of Adventure have aged,I can't say the same for SA2,the voice work was great and the story was improved,as for control I think SA1 had the better controls and playstyle, and in SA1 you had a choice on the gameplay style you wanted to play so if you liked only sonic stages then you can only play sonic stages and this is where I found a problem with sa2,the mech stages are not terrible but its not great either.Well that's all I have to say

Sonic Forces and Sonic 1 better than Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Héroes and Unleashed. Yeah no.
Also Fire and Ice is great.

Terrible article. Yeah fucking FORCES had a good story but SA2 didn't... I respect everyone's opinion but this guy is presenting his as fact, and not spplying his logic evenly. There was zero tension in Forces plot whatsoever. Which is outrageous because given what they had to work with the story should have been amazing. Plot points resolve themselves in mere minutes, sometimes before gameplay even happens. There is no chance for anything to emotionally impact the player, or even the characters.

And then claiming it's one of the best games of all time? Again, I respect his opinion, but how can you say it's one of the best of all time when it's literally watered down Unleashed and Generations? Watered down to the point of being almost self playing at times even. I don't hate Forces, I can enjoy it, but come on.

Just like a few month ago, it was a trend to say that the classic games were never good to begin with, I've noticed a trend lately saying that the adventure games were never good either. You'll see that the next month they'll forget about it and complain about something else...just as usual.....

The only games of Sonic I played has been Adventure 1 & 2, Heroes, and Mania. Maybe I'm no Sonic expert but I think they're fun to play. The stories looking back are cheesy -- but then again I'm not looking for Oscar caliber storytelling. The old games haven't aged well -- most older games if I'm correct go through that. I always thought that the replay factor was more important -- that's just my opinion -- what do you guys think.

Im just a casual gamer, i dont play everyday and im not much of a completionist, but i didnt hate sonic forces. It wasnt the greatest ever, yeah, but it didnt suck as much as the bandwagon said it does. It was entertaining to play casually and me and my friends got some good ongoing jokes out of the parts that werent that great, like mocking infinite's edginess and making some amazingly atrocious avatars

(Now keep in mind I don't agree in most of the stuff that this article says and I'm not defending it in any way, I'm just saying that Gamerguyd7aces is not really that different in the taking criticism area)

GameRevolution: Thats exactly what they pointed out. Its not even that huge of a difference 0.5 points. A different person has a different point of view. Its still a good review. But of course the entitled lil bitches of a minority in the Sonic fandom cant think logically when blinded by Mania hype. Sonic Mania Plus as a DLC is in fact lackluster and that cant be denied by honest fans. Scrapping the Super Sonic end boss for a barely half a minute long Angel Island intro and really minor level design edits. Its literally the same game w/o the flashy Super Sonic end boss. Mighty and Ray are a Sonic with a stomp attack and a Sonic who can glide like Cape Mario on steroids. And dont lie: you dont care about 2 more players in Competition mode. When you asked for more Mania you basically told them to make the exact same thing that took barely 2-3 years to make within a couple of months. They could have just slapped it onto discs/cartridge and you still would have bought it cause 'MaNiA is gud.' They could have done brandnew shit ontop of what was there (Mirage Saloon Act 1 in Encore is the Knuckles level with minor changes. Its not new.) But noo we wunt more MaNiA. Its gotten to the point where some of us fans got sick of the Mania pandering. Too much of a good thing can be terrible.

If your going to rate something on a professional level (like rotten tomatoes) you should at the VERY LEAST, have multiple people give their oppinions, that way its not biased. Game revolution completely misses the point.
