I’d recommend watching the fortnine torture test of it before buying. It’s budget for a reason but better than no chin bar or no helmet at all. Also the no vents on the chin or brow or exhaust kinda suck but to each their own
ОтветитьThese don't seem to have much ventilation.
As someone who wears glasses when riding, I chose a different helmet.
This helmet is Dog Shit, no exhaust vents, it’s poly carb so it won’t dissipate energy like fiberglass/Mix, and that retro look is silly. Save up, and get at least the cheapest Fiberglass helmet you can afford.
ОтветитьHi dan i hope you can see this i live in the philippines and im planning on buying a rebel 1100 as my first bike, i do have experince riding from borrow bikes before. But i wanna know your opinion on it. Oh and sadly we dont have an MSF course here in the PH. So basically trainning is thru your vidoes
ОтветитьI bought the Biltwell Gringo S a few months ago but returned it. It didn't fit my head quite right. I really liked the look, it went well with my 70's CB750. It comes in a lot of cool colors. I wish it fit me better.
ОтветитьI can see why people might want the style, but personally I prefer more modern looking helmets.
Then again, if I had a cafe racer or bobber I would probably wear one 😁
I wear the lane splitter and I'm happy with it and I got it for half cost at 120$. My head is an intermediate oval and it still fit great but it is generally a round shaped helmet. Except when it rains your face gets sprayed which is kinda nice but gets old fast but the warm weather ventilation is one of the best I have had.
ОтветитьI rock one of these. It’s a good helmet.
ОтветитьHad a Gringo and the button visor system was just a pain. I sold it and then went for the Lanesplitter and I'm much happier with it.
ОтветитьHad a crash in this helmet, saved my mouth/beard from being scraped off my face. As well as the top of my noggin from a concussion. It now sits on my desk as a trophy😂. 10/10 would recommend the helmet as it had no damage structurally after the crash. Slight cosmetic changes to the front and top as you might imagine.
ОтветитьI paid £90 for a vcan helmet, lightweight and has a built in sun visor and fully U.K. certified for safety etc.
Hope I never have to test it
I have a Gringo S and a Lane Splitter. For some odd reason the LS is SUPER tight on my head and the GS fits perfect. Both 2X. I can wear a XL Gringo more comfortably than the Lane Splitter. Might just need more break in time.
ОтветитьI’m not gonna get one with the visor. Just gonna get the plain helmet and an Equillibrialist Maska
ОтветитьMy gringo s ece is letting a lot of wind in. Through the visor gap. Any one having this issue?
Ответить2 shell sizes - is not ok. All really safe helmets have 3 or more shells.
ОтветитьNice content I love it ❤️
ОтветитьI really want a full white one with a gold mirror bubble shield visor
ОтветитьDid you purchase this Biltwell Helmet? I love the look, but I have an intermediate to long oval head shape and went with a Torc T1 instead. I have a Biltwell Bonanza 3/4 helmet and it is also more of a round oval and gives me a headache to wear. Thanks for posting this information.
ОтветитьI have a circle shaped dome and have bought two gringo s helmets. Yellow shield is great for day or night.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I was looking to purchase my first helmet for drag racing. Do you think this wouldn’t be a great first helmet? How do you feel about zamp DOT helmets? Thanks
ОтветитьDon’t understand why they’re so small. Their 2xl is like an xl or large in some brands
ОтветитьQuestion. What are your thoughts on Fort9's assertion that the visor pivots on the Gringo S undermine the safety of the helmet, due to the way they are made? I think they sit right over the temples. I was thinking of getting this but I might end up going with the regular Gringo and wear goggles.
ОтветитьTerrific helmet. U feel the air but dont hear it!! Good circ. Super comfy intermediate to round oval. Runs small- get one size larger. Glasses fit no prob
ОтветитьAny light skinned people living on the USA/Mexico border sporting a Gringo helmet?
ОтветитьJust picked mine up I love it 👍
ОтветитьDoes anyone know where you can get a transitional shield for this?
Ответитьgod having a round oval head is SOOOO difficult to find a helmet. I went with the Arai Quantum and the Small is just a bit to small and I even when with a lower profile liner, still to small, so i'll need a medium with a thicker liner because the medium was.... TO BIG!
ОтветитьI wore this at the MSF course and never felt something more snug and comfortable, a year later still feels tight but I worry it wasn’t sufficient enough. But I also feel like it’s the best helmet for the buck
Ответитьprobably okay for local riding but if you ever do longer trips and will ride through all types of weather, buy a more expensive helmet with more features.
