They don't make shows like this anymore.
ОтветитьSay nothing then - it’s often best.
ОтветитьI love the way he underscores that Caesar is his friend and he will ensure the law goes through. Love his cadence!
ОтветитьMark Anthony's threats are a masterful blend of terror and wit. A superb anti-hero. So much fun to watch.
Ответитьlel a midget just casually in the background not explained or anything hahaha
ОтветитьAy can we have this law please?
ОтветитьI think it was Brian Helgeland on the commentary track of "A Knight's Tale" who said that James Purefoy would make an excellent James Bond - I think that track was recorded when Brosnan was on his way out and everyone was talking about who the role should go to. As much as I liked Craig in the role, I still tend to agree that Purefoy would indeed have been excellent as 007. This little scene alone proves it.
ОтветитьYou know.. there's a reason the people loved Caesar. His reformations were ruinous to the rich but provided everybody else relief from debt, more food, more jobs, imagine that today..
ОтветитьThis scene never gets old. LOL.
ОтветитьThis show was really good, it's a shame it ended so abruptly.
ОтветитьI can’t say legislative.. he must have had to do a few takes
Ответитьnever seen a guy so perfectly emasculated
ОтветитьThe reality was Marc Antony was horrible watching over Rome while Caesar was campaigning. It got to the point where Caesar had to basically fire Antony. If Caesar wasn’t leading something personally, 9/10 times he needed to go back and bail them out
ОтветитьSuch a vulgar beast ... 🤪
ОтветитьIf I ever get in a position of serious power I'm going to have me own midget right by my side while I deal with people 😂
ОтветитьForcing the rich to be patriotic. A very nice idea.
ОтветитьImagine if we had politicians today that brought the rich to kneel instead of served them hand and foot.
Democracy has done nothing for humanity but put convince us businessmen are leaders.
Why did Caesar leave him in charge in his absence anyway? Being a good military tactician and living a baller lifestyle is admirable, but not very useful in the senate. Anthony screwed up less then expected but he is still a risky choice.
ОтветитьThe smile on Pullo’s face
ОтветитьWell in this scenario I guess you have no choice but to suck up to Anthony and try to become his best friend. Opposing him might be the last thing you do.
Ответить“He negotiates with a whore and a dwarf at his side!”
ОтветитьRIP Ray Stevenson.
Ответитьthis fellow is a Servilius? No pronomen? I wonder which Servilius he was among the many and he would as a very uppity patrician marry a a woman from the plebeian and Picentine Gaulish family of the Pompeians. Gnaus Pompeius Magnus executed the husband of Servilia, mother of Brutus and mistress of Caesar. For the Servilians the Pompeians were trailer trash.
ОтветитьI like how Anthony slaps her butt to drive home his point, and as stuck-up as she is she’s still too smart to object.
Ответить😂
ОтветитьThis series is so deep in its representation of ROme. In fact in this scene we learn about a very important aspect of Rome : the democratic element which is the assembly of the people which sheds a new on the 'tyranny' of Caesar
ОтветитьThese guys are so Roman, I fully expect them to break for afternoon tea.
ОтветитьPosca was like: "I wonder how quickly he ruins everything. I give it three months tops".
Ответить" Say nothing then...its often best..." Hilarious.
ОтветитьHe was born to play Marc Anthony
ОтветитьBest character. 🫶
ОтветитьCaesar enslaves a million gauls, sells them to the patricians and then forbids them from using them lol
ОтветитьIt would have never been Et Tu Mark Antony......
Caesar would have been the 1st Augustus and Mark Antony his Agrippa.
Alas twas not to be
Love Anthony's trolling of the pomp and hypocrisy of politics
ОтветитьI man who plays the senator did such a great job! The studder and anxiety in his voice is spot on!
ОтветитьNobody has ever done the role of Marc Antony better than James Purefoy
ОтветитьCan’t believe that Mark Anthony was a fellow hagmaxxer.
Ответитьthe way he licks the fruit off his servants knife before conducting business says everything you need to know.
Ответить“It’s more amicable. GOT THAT?” this kind of shit makes me laugh so hard
ОтветитьGod I loved this show ❤
ОтветитьThey should have had James Purefoy or Ray Stevenson play Mance Rayder in GOT.
ОтветитьWow...Imagine that culture! Why should I pay someone for work when I have slaves instead?!?! Think about a society where the ruling class thinks this. Oh yeah, it was America too!
ОтветитьPurefoy’s most brilliant scene. by far, in ROME 👏
ОтветитьPosca must have gone to bed regularly laughing his head off at the antics of politicians
ОтветитьThe real Antony was invariably described as charming.
ОтветитьPompeiia's butt pat reaction was sublime.
ОтветитьThis is how I see Anthony and how I will always see Anthony
ОтветитьCaesars creature ….. omg , too funny .
