ОтветитьNice one shaddy
Ответитьgood work Barry. love it.
ОтветитьAce Barry. Thanks.
ОтветитьHow exciting ... that’s quite an achievement !
ОтветитьBarry you give us the feeling of overcome. It's great to join your adventures. Always the best is your kind of British humor. The way you speak can only be done by Englishmen. Thanks for all of your Vids, beginning with The old Tramp and continued now with the old Seadog.
ОтветитьThat's cool you got to center lock, I've been through 4 times, always exciting!!! Blue Skies and Fair Winds...
ОтветитьGreat Video ! Saw your two crew mates on Gone with the Wynns not so long ago 😎 do they spend their life boat hoping around the world ?
ОтветитьWow strong current , I'm surprised they don't insist on life vests.
ОтветитьAwesome.
ОтветитьJust got home from an Alaskan cruise on the Coral Princess so fun to see her in your video also moving to the Pacific.
ОтветитьThat's the best time to go through, at night! I always enjoyed going through at night it gave the canal a more mystic feeling.
Ответитьhaha are you drunk all the time ? "EDIT" Sorry lol I have this silly app that slows the video down and I did not no it was on for the last few days lol
ОтветитьI just discovered your channel this morning. Lovely videos you make. I have been a big fan of the Wynns from way back in their motor home days. I enjoyed their venture through the canal as well. Just wondering that lovely couple and young hansom chap that spent time with the Wynns....wondering how you contacted them...and how they agreed to mentor you through the canal. If I remember they are from Canada. Again just wondering how all of this came down where they happened to crew for you in this venture. I know everybody knows everybody in the boating family. But would sure love to know how you made that connection. Afraid to ask but are they paid crew as well during their time on your boat? Not being nosy just love learning all the "ropes" before I embark on this wonderful life in about 18 months. Again hooked on your videos. Will be watching many of them today. You are right up there with the Wynns, SVDelos, and La Vagabond. Your videos are nice and chatty....lots of information and edited well. You have a new subscriber. Love your stuff mate. Hope you don't mind my questions...just trying to learn. PS wondering what it cost in total for all expenses including food crew etc and miscellaneous costs to pass through the canal. Fair winds. Looking forward to your reply if you will.
ОтветитьLove this channel and how informative it is. Watched RAN Sailing go through ahead of you all and they were rafted with two other sailboats and everything went very well except for how long it took altogether to get through. I believe it took them 8 days in all. Safe travels to you all and keep up the good work. Cheers from Alberta, Canada.
ОтветитьAll see. I just picked up a 1964 y'all and I'm going to put it together hoping I see old Sea Dog out there somewhere anyway peace out see you soon.
ОтветитьBrilliant video footage of the Panama Canal! I often have wondered what transiting it was like!
ОтветитьFantastic video! Gives a real sense of what it's like to transit the Panama Canal.
I've watched several yachts complete the transit and have read up on the "challenges" faced and it looks like you made it through a-ok....Just a few pounds of sweat lighter and a few thousand quid lighter as well.
Also, for what it's worth, the longe format videos are getting much better so I'm guessing you're developing your narration style with each new video. Thank for sharing!
Now I've gotta stop binge watching....
I love watching these kind of videos how much did it cost to cross the Panama Canal
ОтветитьLife jackets
ОтветитьВ жопу этот Панамский канал. Лучше утонуть в проливе Дрейка, чем такой геморрой за такие деньги.
Ответитьdont like the way you talk to ,, and bout your crew. if i were them i would have said screw you and left you there.. your stupid crewed sense of humor really made you look unprofessional and a bad captain ..i wont be watching any more of your videos.
ОтветитьLike your bike , I too have a Giant Nutra bike black too.👏
ОтветитьHey, Dog!
You would be have loved Lago Isabela in Guatemala. Accessed from the Caribbean side only..
Safe and historic anchorage.
You keep mentioning, Sailing with the Wynn’s. Although we do watch them and enjoy most her stuff. We get tired of how fake and an authentic they are. If you have not found them yet I would encourage you to look up Sailing Nahoa. We believe they are much better than the Wynn’s. Check them out we think you’ll like them
ОтветитьAll good, but no deck vests on the crew!!! Coming through the Brunswick in Liverpool you know exactly why you wear life jackets! great vids apart from that ....
ОтветитьGood old fashioned American ingenuity beats the hell out of those pissy little ditches the Brits call canals. They are stuck with 6'6" narrowboats that transit at walking speed, no wake speed, over there because they cant build a proper canal.
ОтветитьAll of that bureaucracy makes you wanna just sail around South America
ОтветитьVery good video...
ОтветитьMy favorite sailor on utube😀🇳🇴 when my kids are grown up and moved out, i am gonna start sailing👍
ОтветитьG'day Barry, I'm slowly catching up with your progress (up to Ep 95). I had to start from episode 1, so I didn't miss anything. I've been making good progress past few days, as we're all isolated in our homes. It's easy to see, you're loving the Panama canal crossing. So cool watching your channel, and it makes me dream. I plan to begin making it happen in the next year or so. Learning a lot from you. Okay, back to videos.
ОтветитьGreat video but please get away from Panama into the beautiful ocean rather hear your babbling then look at a bunch of gigantic ships....go old see dog
ОтветитьWhat! They just hold the ropes by hand and walk. First for me
ОтветитьYou mustn’t let anything slip out! Is that right Barry.
ОтветитьYes Berry, it is Awesome! you lucky old sea dog you.
ОтветитьSpent all that dosh and all that time to go through a shitty canal. Should have gone on and up round central america. Cant say you have sailed the world if you missed that.
ОтветитьBinge watching...
That takes me back!!
Crossed through Panama both ways... awesome...
Your bread is to wet..not enough flour!
Eggy bread needs fried..or bake it for bread and butter pudding!!.. chuck in raisins and sugar ..🙏
Loving the hurdles you seem to jump!
Great story so far....!
Back to the rest . 👍
30 odds to go...
Put my name down years ago for rnli...not heard anything back yet....seems to run in families up this neck of the woods anyway... Inverness...maybe I'm wrong..
Spent 20 years on the oggy...and now 22 ashore...I prefer the wet stuff...land lubbers are alien!!...
Doing a grand job!!..
I miss the sea...
Fair winds...
Yes the trip down argentina must be beautiful but so dangerious around the horn is thats what its called panama canal is wise man i felt i went through with you
ОтветитьSo much fun watching this a second time!
ОтветитьBarry I subscribed to your channel I been binge watching your videos and I envy you I would trade my 39 year old self to be you any day of the week and twice on Sunday. BTW if you grow a thicker beard you would look just like Captain E.J. smith of Titanic.
ОтветитьHi Barry as a X RNLI chap
were are your life jackets ?
I really have no clue what I'm talking about but wouldn't it be easier to go around the southern tip of south america?
ОтветитьWhy are they not tied off?
ОтветитьAwsome video
ОтветитьGreat video. I could feel your excitement as you crossed under that bridge.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing all this Barry, very interesting 🙂
ОтветитьExcellent 🇬🇧
ОтветитьGoing thru the canal must be incredible. My 30 footer can’t sleep 6, so it’s out of the question for me.
Is there any boat traffic other than the canal traffic on that center stretch?
Reminds me of sailing under the "Queens Crossing" the New Forth Road Bridge. See your all wearing your life jackets NOT..... lol :)
