In 2023, Norway's Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) managed assets worth an incredible $1.379 trillion, making it the world's richest sovereign fund. Powered by oil and gas revenues, the fund delivered a 6.3% return in the first three months of the year, adding $107 billion to its value. By the end of March, the fund's total worth reached 17.7 trillion kroner (about $1.6 trillion), equating to nearly $291,000 for each of Norway's 5.5 million citizens!
