Panasonic Lumix BGH1 vs Panasonic Lumix GH6 - Which One Is Better for Cinema?

You can only compair a box camera, with another box camera, the type of camera is totaly different, The BGH1 is only a barebones body, you need to add stuff, which you can do in any way, hence box camera, hence the freedom to do so.

in the video you mentioned v-log L as being more dynamic when really its the light version of vlog. So the GH6 has the full vlog with potentially more dynamic range than the BGH1. Just FYI. I have the GH5 and the GH6 and the GH5 has vlog-L while the GH6 has full vlog and the difference in dynamic range is noticeable. Vlog on the GH6 is also much easier to color grade by just using the Panasonic LUT just like what is used in the varicam. You may want to update your video to reflect the proper understanding of log formats as that was an important factor for me in choosing the GH6 instead of GH5ii or just another GH5...GH6 has at least a stop or two more dynamic range with the full vlog.

The GH6 has a better image while the BGH1 is cleaner. I have the both and the GH5M2 and find the BGH1 somewhat uninspiring due to the effort it take to get up and running. That being said, the streaking from the GH6 sensor is frustrating as hell!
