Nice Video! Can I suggest trying multiple balls from different sleeves? to test consistancy of the balls. Rumor is that Supersoft is tremendously inconsistant in its performance.
ОтветитьI’ve been playing event supersofts (balls you get from tournaments and random events, usually with logos), and those seem to be consistent compared to mass produced ones, solving their consistency problem, and are by far my favorite golf balls.
ОтветитьHi.. You look to be a well tall bloke and quite strong. You could be getting another 10 - 20 mph clubhead speed if you get your weightshift/footwork and release. more efficient. ..and you should try to give your backswing just a little more length.. Not so much for adding power...but to give you a little more time to ramp up more spped/power, and better sequencing.
I like that you keep your right foot down, through the impact area. Moe Norman did that...BUT he did get his weight onto the left side and finished there. You are not getting your weight fully thru, and even fall back onto your right foot.
I tell my students to keep the right heel down until impact, rolling on the instep. and then letting the right foot come up on the toe , as you get to a full finish.. let the finish wrap around you, and finish in balance. A good drill would be to start at that finish position in balance, and hold it for a few seconds...then start making backswings to the top, and getting back to the finish position. and feel before you move each way.. the weightshift leads.. from finish to backswing.. the weight goes to the trail foot, then before you get to the top of backswing.. the weight shifts left and keeps going left thru impact and all the way to the finish position. Do it without a ball until it's comfortable to do. Then when you add the ball... just imagine it is a ghost ball and the club will swing right thru it, as you go to the finish. The longer backswing, better footwork and weightshift will smooth out your swing, getting more speed with less effort. Cheers.
Thanks for this analysis! There's no way for the average golfer to know which of these 2 balls is better. You proved the Chrome is not worth the extra $$. Really appreciate your video!
