ОтветитьI know how to fix it mate. It happened to me not long ago when I updated windows.
It's an easy fix, hope this works for you like it did for me.
All You need to go the boot mode by holding down the down volume button when powering on.
Then go on security--> security boot control and disable it.
Then boot up bazitte.
I did this and it worked for me. Let me know if it works for you pal. 😊
Oh no!! That sucks mate, I'm sorry but I have no idea and can't help at all. I just really hope you get this fixed asap!
ОтветитьThere are times when windows decides to turn on secure boot for no good reason. Happened with my legion go and Ally X preventing you from booting into Bazzite
ОтветитьTL;DR Turn off secure boot.
Why: Windows being Windows and messing with things it shouldn't be.
windows shit all over GRUB again didn't it?
ОтветитьSorry this happened to you, even more fuel to the never linux fire for my Ally X.
ОтветитьHere’s an idea stopping putting all this third party shit on it , I use mine out the box as it’s meant to be and it’s fantastic no complaints and zero problems!!! Happy days
ОтветитьThis screen always popped up for me but then it always automatically booted into Bazzite before I pressed anything
ОтветитьIt looks like Linux isn't able to find the boot partition, but if you play with Linux, you must prey to the Linux gods!
ОтветитьI’m having issues w the system freezing mid game and screen going black. Only had it a month. It’s only when I play madden 25. Only fix is holding power button for 20nsec
ОтветитьJust use Windows... All this steam is better than Windows is a bunch of bologna. Just use steam big picture mode in Windows.. If you want steam OS just wait for the official steam OS which is not coming out anytime soon or just get a steam deck... And in all reality, the rog Ally is a bit better than a steam deck. It's just the steam deck is easier. I have both of them and the rog is better. Just not as easy as the steam deck and steam input is way More flexible than armory crate.. armory crate needs a long way to go but it's on the right path
ОтветитьHello Pancake!! Hope your hooman has got his problem sorted out 😸😸
Ответитьturn off secure boot in the bios, and add the keys so then you can enable it back if you want to
ОтветитьHey Pete this is the boot menu by grub. I recommend doing rEFInd. On the settings it allows touch and mohse control too. Also you can customize the boot menu
ОтветитьYou should know better than to buy anything from this company.Haven’t you seen the dozens of videos where their devices catch on fire. The many problems with their handhelds are well documented. This company has so many problems and issues, never buy anything from them.
ОтветитьMy initial comment got deleted, it seems. Reposting an edited version, below.
Fixing this could potentially include toggling off secure boot in the BIOS, but do make sure you don't have Bitlocker on in windows before you do that. More likely, this will continue to happen anytime the BIOS or windows gets updated in a certain way. So, to prevent this going forward, you have to have a separate UEFI partition for Windows and Bazzite. This may require reinstalling Bazzite, unfortunately.
You probably set it up when installing Bazzite by doing an automatic installation (which ends up sharing an EFI partition with Windows - this can break anytime windows does an update, whether or not you have secure boot on). If you had installed Bazzite manually, during the installation process it would have allowed you to set up a separate partition for the Bazzite EFI. I believe I have avoided this issue because of this. Please see "SteamOS dual boot tutorial for ROG Ally/Legion Go" from YT channel Cyber Dopamine for step by step instructions. At the end, that creator makes just one mistake by skipping past the step to allow secure boot signing on Bazzite (MOK) - for help on this, see "Dual-booting Windows 11 & Bazzite with secure boot enabled" by Mike's Tech Tips.
I'll add that, before the Bazzite reinstallation process, you should turn off Bitlocker in Windows and let it decrypt. You should then turn off Secure Boot. Then, after absolutely everything is done, and you've gone and enabled encryption through the KDE Wallet System in Bazzite desktop mode (choose 'classic blowfish encrypted file'), you can go back and turn on secure boot in the BIOS, which will enable it for both OSs.
Hey your videos are great. Was wondering if you could make a video about how to play PS1 games with multiple discs please
ОтветитьI hope you've sorted this now? btw I couldn't find an appropriate video to drop this comment in, so I have a question, Do you have an opinion on the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro? (looking for light handheld for emulating on the go.) btw give Pancake a cuddle for me!
ОтветитьHave you tried using usb and wipe it?
Ответитьdoes anyone remember the legion go? no lololol.
ОтветитьWhat caused your issue is Windows updated the BIOS and removed the Bazzite secure boot key giving you that error. The solution should be as follows:
* Open your BIOS and turn off Secure boot (it's usually somewhere under advanced settings)
* Boot Bazzite normally and open the terminal and run "ujust enroll-secure-boot-key" if it asks you for a password enter "universalblue"
* Reboot the machine and you should get the MOK util screen again where you enter the key "universalblue"
* Now get back into your BIOS and just turn Secure boot back on and all should be good again until there is another BIOS update
Lucky u,Yes, it happened to me you need disable secure boot from setting. For some reason I found mine to be enabled after I disable it worked just fine
ОтветитьI have Steam Deck Oled for that experience and an Ally X for Windows . They both work great and play as intended no problems ever with either . As others have said once you start installing Bazzite and other things its on you - nothing to do with Asus .
ОтветитьHey Pete sorry I have been super busy but ! I now have bazzite arch kernel running on cachyos, let me ask you a question ? When you open the side menus on bazzite there is a delay and it’s jerky? Well wow , I have been on cachy for ages and with the x support was patchy but now I have the bazzite experience but with much smoother performance and it’s unlocked , meaning you decide what you want to install not the devs , I missed your last reply I want to be able to send a small video to you of menus etc so you can compare I hope you got your issue fixed , I never dual boot , I have windows to go on a separate ssd so I can connect and go in etc but internal is pure cachyos as what’s how I play mostly what’s your thoughts
Ответить//Step by Step guide//
(you’ll need to disable secure boot)
-first boot up BIOS on your Ally by smashing the volume down during start up as if you’re dual booting, you'll then enter the Ally BIOS interface
(press Y) for advance settings> security> secure boot> secure boot control & have it (disabled)> quit and save (it will restart)> while restarting quickly boot back to Ally BIOS> and then finally run Bazzite
Hope this works
Post YOUR idea/solution below and the 1st one to solve this gets a personal shoutout in the next vid! 👇🤞
