There are millions of people in intractable pain who need pain medication to level the playing field and get through daily chores. Pain beats people down when they have conditions that force them to stay home rather than live their life. They can’t get out of pain. When doctors stop their meds, life is unbearable. Not many know what it’s like. Imagine a toothache that never leaves.
