I think the United States had a hand in instigating Germany in World War II. At that time, many German businessmen were well established in the United States. Through them, Hitler had made a political rise in Germany. Behind it were the military, political and business objectives of the United States. The Wall Street collapse and subsequent famine in the United States fueled this work. One of the things the US president did at that time was to emphasize the growth of industrial production in order to increase job opportunities across the United States. But the market was not available across the board. Europe turned its war arms into a market. The excess agricultural produce produced by the USA was exported to Europe during the war. But a few years ago in bad economic condition, the crops were getting lost later on in the land. USA was indirectly behind the holocaust of Jews. At the time, US intelligence knew that Hitler was a rabid anti-Semitic, but was secretly helping Hitler's political rise in Germany. In the beginning, the USA did not say anything or take any action when the Jews were being exterminated. Because their weapons were not selling much in Europe. As Britain and France joined the war, US arms sales suddenly increased. This is my theoretical investigation.
The last thing I say is that the United States is a country that kicks itself in the back and then treats itself.

Those carriers were out because they knew about the attack. They knew about 2001 also. Except they didn't plan on a missile malfunctioning and hitting a field

Alot of impressive innovations truly a shame it has never been replicated or really used it would have been cool Germany and Japan truly had a leg up on the allies that could have won them the war had they not dropped the ball

This video is an episode of PBS 'Secrets of the dead' with a new opening title - even the original credits are seen at the end. It has nothing to do with the History Channel.

Am I right in think that Liev Schreiber is the same guy as the one who narrates at least some of the episodes (of which you see clips) on The Smithsonian Channel?

I love WWII history and especially the little known details about it. Had things gone South for the US Navy at Midway in June of '42, it would have been a very different war with the fight being brought to America instead of the other way around.
It was just dumb luck that US dive bombers caught three of four Japanese carriers with no air cover and their decks laden with bombs and torpedoes. Up to that moment the US had lost nearly all its torpedo planes and was at its most vulnerable.
WWll taught all of its cold war enemies a valuable lesson: America could only be brought to its knees from within, which oddly enough (depending on your perspective) has been happening since the days when the Berlin Wall was built.
They have successfully infiltrated our institutions of higher learning and have bought off one of our political parties (I'll give you one guess which one) and a country which was basically still stuck in the Middle Ages at the conclusion of WWII will soon be our masters with the continued support of Chuck and Nancy and the fresh crop of Communist politicians born and raised in our once great Republic. Most likely at 54, I won't live long enough to see the Soviet inspired enslavement that is coming our way. That's okay by me. You Millennials can be witness to the destruction your silly ideas are currently bringing forth. Good luck with that.
